:( I'm sorry, but hoping you are surprised with good news.
I am going through the same thing at the moment. Yesterday morning I had bright red blood when I wiped, brown discharge during the day and bright red blood again in the evening. This morning is bright red blood like during my period
I had previously planned an appointment with my doctor yesterday. She was lovely and offered me an early scan but I declined as since I am only 4 weeks 5 days today, we probably wouldn't see anything which would make me worry more. Instead I got my blood tested and they will monitor my hcg. I have a scan booked for next Wednesday when I will be closer to 6 weeks.
Fingers crossed for the both of us.
:fx: for both of you, too.
Hi Wishing4Princess,
I'm so sorry to hear about the stressful worrying time you're going through at the moment. I recently had a similar situation and did quite a bit of reading at the time. One of the studies I read basically said that if you have bleeding that is lighter than your normal period flow, and of short duration, then you are at no greater risk of miscarriage than those with no bleeding in pregnancy. The link to the article is:
Association Between First-Trimester Vaginal Bleeding and Miscarriage
I found this to be some comfort at the time.
For me, it took 3.5 weeks of ongoing spotting and many inconclusive tests before my doctor was able to say with certainty that my baby had stopped growing. It was a heartbreaking process and extremely stressful.
I pray that your baby will be healthy and that the spotting will stop soon.
Thinking of you and crossing fingers for a good outcome :fingers:
fingers crossed for ou - I had pink and brown blood spotting with my DS who's now 3... :)
So sorry to hear this...m/c is a terrible thing to go through. HUGS
So I went to see an OB yesterday, she did an ultrasound and HCG test (which i got results for but don't know what they mean, until I hear from OB). SHe looked very closely to find a sac but still came to the conclusion that I am either going through a MC or i'm still less than 5wks pregnant. she wasn't able to tell if I was pregnant...she didn't even do a urine preg. test. she said my cervix was closed at the time of the ultrasound, the blood is from outside the cervix and that this this could be an ectopic pregnancy.
So last night after my appt. I bled more..through the night.. it's gotten much heavier...sorry TMI..but there are chunks of clots when I sit on the toilet.. I had cramping last night and lower back pain this morning. it's like a very heavy AF.
My HCG results were:
Component Your result Standard range Units
HCG INTACT <5 <5 mIU/mL
If this was a m/c ..when is it safe to ttc and sway pink??
I think that getting pg right away after m/c sways pink. Some docs say wait a month so that the lining can build up, especially if you end up needing a d&c - my doc told me to go for it after my m/c in October. So sorry...
ow about doing a pregnancy test ? Thats how i knew about my mc because the positive test had faded and so i knew something wasnt right - 2 days later i started spotting and test was ner enough neagtive then the bleeding started,
I rea;lly hope its nothing to worry about and if you have a strong positive test result it may not be ...... sorry i cant be much more hlep but i really hope its nothing serious. xxxxx
Im sorry to hear you are going through the same thing! I don't want to give you false hope, that things will be ok. mine started the same way. I'm bleeding very heavily ..like a heavy AF. I have an appt. next monday to get another HCG test done.
hang in there, Cass!!! GL w/ everything.
