What milk comes from Japan?? All of our milk here is local. Local cows. Soybeans come from Japan! If it is grown in the States, over 90% of soybeans here are genetically modified. I think local orgnaic milk is the way to go. Soy is a cheap food. That is why we see it in everything.

Soy=bad in my book too. Organic milk, local farmers or if you can find a farmer that doesn't pasteurize....even better in my books. Many are scared to drink it but I prefer it. Also, if you drink Almond milk-try to find organic. Nuts are heavily sprayed with chemicals:(

I started this thread last spring after Japan had that big earthquake and nuclear meltdown... I haven't kept track of the radiation in a while. It was blowing over here for a while, settling in the grasses, and the cows were eating it. The radiation was then passed on to the milk. I was worried about it for a while, but after reading all of the literature about soy, I figured the cow's milk was probably fine. We are still using cow's milk. I am not sure if the milk in my state ever had radiation in it anyway... I know they found it in Washington state. BUT my guess is that by now, the danger has passed. I haven't heard anything about it since summer.
