im having issues keeping enough energy up, when I have done everyone elses dinner, im too shakey tired and lethargic to do my own, so have been eating what they eat, Im doomed.
I think I do have blood sugar issues so still have to stick to whole grains etc which makes me feel even more like a failure sway wise. I have to snack occasionally on apples too or I just can't make it through the day, with 6 kids its no wonder lol
This is what's worrying me (so much I'm anxious before I start!) I am very busy/active in my job - 3 days per week and run around after my two boys on the other days. The LE diet doesn't seem to have any redeeming features! (Full of empty calories, junk and not much else) I worry I'll pass out! How does only eating low cal, no protein sway girl? Two meals, no snacks? I'm also coeliac so no wheat based carbs...
Amaunet,
I'm currently developing my own meal plan, and there isn't hardly any junk in it while i stay within the limits. (Although i must admit i have to take potassium supps ans extra salt otherwise i'll it too little of it. Wouldn't you get a sway plan from atomic? I' ll bet see can make you a proper plan!
Babygirl, maybe, if you have blood sugar issues you can take some egg whites instead of apples. I am planning to postpone breakfast for as long as possible but am pretty sure i have to eat something at 10am because i get up at 6 on workdays. Am planning two or three eggwhites for breakfast. It fits within the 40-50 g protein limit as long as you leave meat out and don't eat to much dairy.
Hopefully, i can then eat lunch around 1.30 pm and dinner at 6pm... Man, i am going to be hungry!
The only times I struggle with the LE diet now are when I see or smell delicious foods. But even then it's not to bad. I eat my rice and as soon as I've put good in my tummy I don't care anymore that it didn't taste as yummy as what others were eating.
I actually get excited now about eating matzo and houmous for dinner. Dinner time is the meal I feel most hungry for. I used to miss breakfast but I don't anymore, in fact sometimes when I'm busy an extra few hours can pass without me noticing. I eat breakfast at midday and dinner at 7pm, if I'm struggling I'll eat something between 4 and 5 and then push dinner back an hour.
Despite my being a naturally thin person I had got into very bad eating habits, eating way too much. I had put on a lot of weight in pregnancy and kept it. Doing the LE diet has got me down to my ore pregnancy weight and taught me about moderation again. I'm loosing weight very slowly now, probably because I'm at my bodies optimal weight.
This is a misunderstanding of what LE Diet is. That is what some people choose to do, while others include more fruits, veg, and whole grains. It is totally at your discretion what you eat.
Most people eat 3 meals while on LE Diet. I certianly did.
The LE Diet is based around advise from reproductive endocrinologists and the World Health Organization in terms of safe caloric intake for weight loss while TTC and safe fat/protein intake. Depending on how it's done, it can be excellent for heart health and cancer prevention and I typically field dozens of questions a week worrying that the diet is too HEALTHY.
