Yeah, I'm almost positive this diet has caused the lack/delay of ovulation (so far). I agree with you about the girl diet, it's very hard on you. I just wasn't getting enough food, period. We plan to start TTC next cycle, so that's what is causing me to be so alarmed!
-
If you are going to TTC next cycle, then I would "try" to stick it out as long as you ovulate eventually this cycle. Do whatever you can to get pregnant the first cycle. I wouldn't mess with timing.

I'm just crossing my fingers for a temp rise at some point over the next few days! I need to pick up some OPKs and use those as well next cycle.
-
My temp was 97.58 this morning and still no sign of ferning on my Ovulite, now CD25. I'm regretting starting this diet!!!!

Are you taking supplements like Vitex?
-
Nope, just taking the standard prenatals that I've been taking for the past 6 months with no problem. I'm going to increase my dairy fats (instead of eating non-fat, skim, etc) a bit and see if that helps.
-
If you want to stick on the diet maybe try getting some vitex. It aids in ovulation and sways girl.

I will consider it for baby#2 if I have a DS, but for now, I think I'll be doing a very loose diet as I don't want to mess ovulation anymore than I already have. Thanks for talking me through all of this!

No problem. I will say this, I am glad I didn't sway with my first. I really wanted a girl for my first baby and had I known about swaying I would have tried to sway. I have 1 DS and I always say God knew what he was doing when he gave me DS. I would have missed out on the most amazing bond I have ever known had I not had him. There is nothing like a boy and his mama :)
And now, although I really want a girl, I want a girl for different reasons then before. If you do have a DS first, there will not be one day that goes by that you will wish he is a girl.

Thanks so much for the reassurance, kaseybaby!! In my heart, I know when I see the little person we created, my heart will melt and it will be love at first sight, regardless of gender. Ah, so much to look forward to!! I've been dreaming of being a mommy since I was 4 or 5 when I got my first Cabbage Patch Kid, LOL,....and now I'm 29, almost 30...hard to believe! When will you TTC?
