I also have a bit of a hard time buying into Ramzi theory because as the PP suggested, I think if it worked as well as the claims say, everyone would be doing it. I hope you end up hearing your DG.

my baby is also on the left side.... so i went along and the whole time i have been imagining holding a baby girl in march... had my 12wk scan and eveyone said the nub is a classic boy nub... i was upset because id been dreaming of a baby girl! had my 16wk gender scan this morning and yup hes a boy! so that ramzi method isnt as good as it sounds. dont pay too much attention to it
By his own guidelines you wouldn't be able to guess at your gestation, you can't see the placenta in your image, etc. This is how he keeps people from calling him on his BS. If you say "I had my 20 week ultrasound, and the placenta is on the left but I am having a boy." He will claim you are too far along for an accurate determination according to his theory. It is all BS. You may be having a boy, but it will have nothing to do with his guess. Or you may have a girl, but it will have nothing to do with the side the baby is on.
Thank you to everyone def gives me hope!! I really do think its a girl! The babies heart rate is the exact same as my daughters, I am throwing up just like I did with her, craving all the same foods. I am excited to get a 12 week us done so we can do the skull/nub theory =)
One more thing I wanted to add. According to the study a "dye" was placed into the chorionic villi (I might be remembering the word wrong), and that it had to be done around 6 weeks. Since he didn't do that to you, and your baby, then how can he possibly claim accuracy? And if says now he can accurately guess just by looking at the image, don't you think that in the 30 plus years Ob's, techs, a slew of different doctors have been looking at ultrasounds would have thought "Hmmmm this is weird, every time a placenta is on the left it is a girl, and every time it is on the right it is a boy!" Pretty sure someone would have figured it out. I don't mean to go off on a tangent, but I fell for this the first time I heard of Ramzi, I then read the whole study and founds countless holes in it, spoke to numerous doctors and techs about it and even had a q&a with Ramzi himself. I just don't want people to get super excited or super disappointed by these ramzi guesses.
I'm totally out of subject although I read everything behind...
Did I understood good that if the pacenta is in the left side is a boy and if it's in the right is a girl?
I too emailed him with my 8w4d pic and he said boy while I'm hoping for a girl. I'm very disappointed today. Did you ever confirm?
