looks to me like O occured at some point between CD 15 and 16 and you had some nicely timed attempts. :) Good luck to you!
I hope you're right!
Have any of you ever heard about sperm capacitation and freshly ejaculated sperm not capable of penetrating an oocyte (the egg?) How long does capacitation of sperm takes?
Now i've also read that 1-2 days before ovulation is the best day to have sex if you trying to get pregnant, -just because sperm capacitation.
Yes, I've heard of that and yes, 1-2 days before ovulation are the two best days for conception.
Sperm takes at minimum about 4 hours to capacitate and only a small amount are capacitated at any one time. After capacitation they die fairly quick but uncapacitated ones stay alive for awhile.
Yes, only a small amount are capacitated at any one time. If there are 10 million sperm, maybe 1 million are capacitated at one time (just making these numbers up). The rest stay dormant, they are sleeping and waiting for their turn to come. Sperm can "communicate" with each other so some of them are always asleep and some are awake (capacitated) . The capacitated ones die more quickly, while the dormant ones can live a longer time.
