Nahri, do you still think the placenta is on the left? It all looks the same to me and you seem to know a bit more than me
Thank you as always xoxoxoox

yup that thicker part sticking out that is all wavy looking instead of smooth is the placenta.
Nahri, thank you so much. I really appreciate your input.
I have been googling how to be able to determine where the placenta is on early scans and I cant find any info. How did you learn to see where the placenta is?
I totally get the theory but sometimes when the placenta is indicated, I cant tell why its that ring as opposed to the ring on the otherside which looks as thick and feathery?
Any tips?
Indentation is usually the big give away. The contrast on your scan is all over the place but usually the placenta shows up a different shade than the wall and you can pick it out easily from that too but not on yours. Like this one for example this is one of mine and an example of why you have to know what direction is being shown with sagittal. This one is saggital but the right side of the screen is actually the bottom (the dark space behind the baby girls head is my bladder) The uterus wall outlined in light pinky red and the placenta in purple. you can see the indent and the color difference. And here is another showing why you cant put too much stock in Ramzi.. This is my DS ultrasound from 9w3d. outlined in blue is the placenta formation on the left (girl) and I can most certainly still say at 2.5 years old hes very much a boy lolAttachment 22791
Thanks so much! I still find it hard to spot. You must have quite the trained eye ;)
