Since it's not approved in the US as a fertility treatment some docs are leery of prescribing it, unfortunately. Too bad becuase I think it's better

My doctor wants to put me on 200 mg of prometrium for 10 days after ovulation to help with my LP. She wants me to take it from cd 17-27, assuming i already ovulated. Is this something I would need to continue on if we conceive?
Also, I am down to just spotting so I was going to start the every 4 day bd pattern tonight. As luck may have it, i will bd on cd 4, 8, 12, 16, etc. On cd 12, i will have my follicle study and trigger IF i am ready. since I was planning on every 4 days plus 1 attempt at trigger (assuming I am ready to trigger on the same day as the ultrasound as i was last month) when would I have this extra attempt so it ups odds, but isn't too boy friendly? My doctors advice is to bd every other day starting the night of the trigger which is too boy friendly for me.
Can I use wondfo opk with the trigger and just do the 1 attempt after the positive or will the hcg give false positive or false negative? Sorry if this is so confusing!
Yes, it is typically continued into the first trimester, they will give you directions when (not if, when) you get BFP. :)
If CD 12 falls on day of trigger, have your scheduled attempt taht day and then the next day. If it doesn't, then jsut have scheduled attempt and then again the night of the trigger. Even if 2 days back to back, that's fine.
Do you think it is more pink friendly to BD every 3 days (CD 7, 10, 13, 16..,with potential trigger on day 12) or do the 4 day pattern with 2 days in a row at trigger?
I don't know and do not have the data to say for sure.
I DO think the odds of conception are better with every 4 day plus one additional attempt at trigger, so that is and will continue to be my recommendation for anyone having serious trouble conceiving or who is on Clomid/Femara
Thanks for the advice!!
Atomic, on my personal plan (written before being put on Clomid), you wanted me to avoid conceive easy lube. Then you recommended it when I started Clomid because I only have three months on it. With switching to bd every 4 days, plus one attempt at trigger, should I still use this lube with my two attempts? My cm is so different on clomid this month than it was on my first month. Less of it, less creamy and more watery.
I honestly do not have the answer to this, it's one of those pesky crystal ball questions that I just don't have the answer to. I really don't know.
I wish I knew if sticking to one attempt at trigger would do the job. It is our 4th month, which isn't horrible but with only 2 months of clomid left and my bmi dipping under 18, I really need to get pregnant. Ugh, decisions!
