12+2 dating scan, can anyone see what the gender may be? i dont really know what im looking at 😳

Oh we could guess on a skull at this point, it's just not reliable. I think it's better with the skulls, to compare to a pic of YOUR boys at this age. Comparing unrelated baby to unrelated baby is misleading because genetics vary so much, but comparing siblings to siblings may be helpful (my daughter def. had a different skull shape to her brothers)

It's too early for nub guessing though because a nub that looks pink at 12w2d can still rise and end up being a little man. I prefer to only guess nubs starting at the end of the 12th week at the very earliest and prefer 13th week. I have seen too many people end up heartbroken by a "girl nub" early int the 12th week that ended up being boys. So I just prefer not to guess at this stage. Good luck

Thing on top is cord. Nub is below that but the problem is it is too early to guess.

Attachment 28798 sorry rubbish pic but this is my sons 20 week scan, although half of his head is missing which doesnt help.

we would like a girl but i have a feeling its a boy, i think there could be slight disapointment but nothing we wont come to terms with, once you know the sex you kind of fall in love with the little baby thats growing inside you anyway its all cool ive been here twice before lol its the waiting to find out that kills me :nails:

It might be the nub, but it's impossible to know what's going on directionally because the whole rump isn't pictured. I don't do skull guesses as I think the head shape can look so different based on the angle of the ultrasound probe. Good luck to you! :happy:

If I compare skulls, I think this current baby has a more rounded (girly) skull than your son. But skull theory is only for fun, so I don't want to get your hopes up! FX for you!
