Hey, I think you guys did exactly the right thing. I don't think there's any such thing as girl range. Most of the babies of either gender ever conceived were from sperm in the repro tract prior to ovulation because that's how the system is designed.

Don't worry about the way the CM seemed to dry up...that seems to be quite common - we get a big rush of CM a few days before O just to get everything ready to go (remember, through most of human history, we didn't shower every day so our body thinks that CM is going to stay where it belongs.). There's still CM up inside where it needs to be.

That makes me not want to shower during O week! I wonder what DH would think of that?

Somewhere on here is a thread where I suggested that and not a lot of people took me up on the idea ;), but I actually think it's a sound one. Even if it was just the day of your attempt!

Makes me wonder about the REAL reason why hot showers may sway pink - perhaps because it washes away CM???

So just to keep me on my toes and make me realize that I am totally not in charge of this process.... I thought I ovulated on CD 13 (after a false alarm on CD 12). Just been hanging out having some sticky CM, a slight rise in temps and thinking my sway was done with for the month. Then today my temp drops dramatically. I start thinking it's a sign of implantation so I'm pumped, right!? Then I start getting HUGE strings of EWCM!!! WTH!? I thought I o'd 5-6 days ago! So just to be on the safe side I take an OPK (which never turn positive for me ) and it's POSITIVE!! Guess who's DTD again tonight!? But the bummer is I had this perfect sway going and then totally had sex in the girl time frame :( I know timing is the least important sway factor (thank goodness!) but I'm still bummed. I need to go re-read all the threads about how timing isn't important to cheer me up :)

Even if you DTD in girl timing, you van counter act it tonight by adding some fresh swimmers! Good luck!!

It's "below the equator" that I think would matter, so if you were able to do the spongebath thing (I've used baby wipes when camping and they work quite well) and then wash your hair in the sink, I think that can only help without making you repulsive LOL. ;)

Re: hot showers - if you believe that heat sways by reducing sperm count, then it's only for DH (and a hot bath is MUCH more effective). But if you believe in ions, then they sway for both DH and DW because the steam makes ions that then travel up your VJ and make you conceive a baby girl by magnetic attraction. I strongly suspect that IF hot showers for DW actually do sway, it's got a lot more to do with the whole washing away CM thing and nothing to do with ions at all whatsoever.
