We don't have the kind of data to be able to pin it down, and enough people have done low intensity exercise that it certainly appears to me to be equally effective. Plus, I find many people cannot stick with harder exercise, either they get burned out and give up, or they hurt themselves. So it is a case of good enough being good enough. :)
We only started tracking exercise type (cardio or strength) in the last 8 months or so, so there's not a lot of data yet. There isn't a question for exercise intensity in the spreadsheet stats. Should I add one, atomic?

I feel like intensity is such an open for interpretation question that the data may not be very valuable. I wouldn't bother because what's intense for one may not be for another and all that.
