Atomic, I didn't get pregnant on this 1st clomid cycle :( I'm super upset as these side effects of clomid have been horrible. Extreme bloating, I've gained 5-6 lbs (which is what I had lost on the diet so I weigh about 113-114 now), nausea etc. Is all this normal? I did ease up and eat more calories during the 2ww and def snacked (I thought I was pregnant and also felt like vomiting from clomid side effects without food).
I think I'll try one more and last round of clomid if you think it sways so much for girls.
What do I need to change though? Don't do jump and dump? E4d the whole cycle? I did 1 attempt at positive opk and e4d before that because I got multiple solid smiley faces. I did CD 10 and CD 14 and I ovulated on CD 15 I think. Then we did again on cd18 but I know I had already ovulated. So kinda e4d?
I need to get pregnant the 2nd round as I won't do clomid anymore after that...I've never felt so bad in my life from the clomid.
Also, I feel so bad that I haven't worked out since I started the clomid (so like 3 weeks) I was going to try to start working out again though. Have I messed up during these 2ww? Weight gain from clomid, and not being able to work out, and I can barely stomach alcohol. I'm due to start my period again June 30th.
OB did a blood test at 8dpo and negative hcg and all home pregnancy are also negative.
Please help! Don't know what to do next time! I'm so stressed :(

You did a lot to sway, though, Jenn. Can you please give me a rundown of everything, even the things like jellies and stuff like that??
If this is truly your last month on the Clomid then please do e4d plus one more attempt at pos OPK. Do e4d both before and after O to be sure you're covered and then toss in an additional attempt at that pos OPK.
NO J and D, lay flat 15-30 min at least.
I don't usually have reports of side effects like this, no. While you were taking it possibly, but not after. I suspect it made you have a nice big progesterone rise which is good for pregnancy but can cause the symptoms of pregnancy. So the good news is that just maybe this won't happen again next month. I do think it's the best of the best sway tactic there is so I do recommend it if you can tough it out.

I didn't do anything other than the j&d after about 6 minutes. I really thought I was pregnant which is why I upped my calories in the 2ww because I was certain I was pregnant from the side effects. I felt fine while taking it but after---I've never felt so bad in my life (I actually felt great, all 3 pregnancies).
I'll def tough it out if you think it sways the best for girl.
Do you think it sways more fit girl even by adding in attempts?
Wondering if I should do the e4d but just don't j&d like you said and maybe elevate my hips?
Won't adding in another attempt at opk sway big for boy? Or I can just pray that the day I ovulate is our e4d attempt [emoji51]

Clomid sways more than adding that one attempt does, though. So it pays off to add the attempt if this is really the only Clomid month.
Now, if it was up to me (which it isn't, only you know how miserable you are) then yes, I'd keep the Clomid and do just that this next month - e4d plus extend J and D to 15-30 min, no propping hips though.

Okay I'll do that! E4d and wait 30 minutes! Thanks! Praying it works this time!

I'm really worried about taking the clomid too long....like that it will thin my uterus and raise my chances of a miscarriage. My dr said only 3 months on clomid and this will be my second. It scares me to do more than that. Is this a legit worry or am I freaking myself out?

Atomic, I forgot to add that my hubby has been drinking a lot of whisky (I've been making him) which he did not do when we conceived the other boys. Should I have him quit or decrease that? Does that mess up his sperm or just lower it? Thanks :)

Oh gosh sorry I wrote this yesterday and then it must not have gone through. Thank goodness for autosave!
YOu're freaking yourself out.
Most people who take Clomid suffer no ill effects (the kind of side effect you're talking about are one thing, but I mean in terms of your overall fertility) and of the minority that do it is only after 3 months and usually more like 5-6. I know literally ONE person who had a thin lining on Clomid and she was starving herself (against my wishes of course). Most often, if you would have had a thin lining on Clomid, you also won't O on it
I get questions like this all the time from my Clomid mamas - people who are 110% sure their linings are bad or they'll have no EWCM and will be infertile and then end up getting pregnant the next month anyway! :)

Re whiskey, it can over time but I doubt that's what is going on here. I'd still cut it back though.

Okay thank you! That makes me feel much better :)
Hopefully this is the last month I have to take it!
