No, your period came because you ovulated later than you think. Taking the iron was coincidental. You could have had a hot bath or ate some garlic or jumped up and down for ten minutes or done nothing at all and it still would have come because it was due. If you ovulated, your period will come (and did). If you hadn't ovulated, you could have taken the iron and it would not have come. Your period was not delayed due to anemia. Periods are never delayed (except for miscarriages). Only ovulation is delayed. Then your period may come late, but it is not because your period itself is late, it's because your ovulation is late and then your 2ww has to be tacked onto that before your period can come.
Do be sure, since your O was late and you had unprotected sex, that you take a pregnancy test the day you are due to start the Clomid. It will probably be negative but we need to be absolutely sure that you aren't pregnant. You can be pregnant and have what seems to be a totally normal period (and this actually happened to me personally!) So I don't want you to start the Clomid without taking a pregnancy test on what you think is CD 3.
I wouldn't have you use the elderberry and Vit. C but it's up to you, of course. being sick may sway pink so for all we know it was a blessing. :)
