Hernia surgery is outpatient. He should have been totally fine after a couple of weeks. IF he is actually in pain, he needs to see a doctor to figure out why. The only valid reason for pain at this point is there is something that went wrong with his surgery that would require another surgery. Other than that, he is addicted. This is seriously how it happens. People have surgery, get injured, go on pain meds and then can't get off of them. I cannot believe a doctor would still be prescribing him pain meds this far after.
