Thanks again, today was no sugar for me :)
Whole grain I ate very much anyway. Also fruit and veggies - btw I asked myself how that could be a solid girl sway, I always thought that fewer nutrients also means fewer „healthy“ food. But since I read about the PCOS diet I changed that and ate much more fruit and veggies.
Actually I don’t think that I have PCOS. My mom has diabetes due to a pancreas inflammation :( so she has got a blood sugar measure kit. And a few weeks ago I tested mine after a grand meal with ice cream and fruit and one hour later my blood sugar was under 100 again. So I don’t assume that I have an IR. Also in Europe every pregnant woman has to be tested about IR by drinking a very sugary liquid and being tested before and 1 and 2 hours after drinking, and my numbers were normal both times. This is to prevent a gestation diabetes.

We originally started off thinking the kind of nutrients in fruits and veggies might sway blue but over the course of time it has become glaringly obvious that it's calories, protein, fat that matter most (the macronutrients) and then things like highly fortified foods and NOT the small amounts of nutrients in fruit and veg. YOu would have to eat a mountain of broccoli to get the amount of nutrition in a hamburger, fries, and a shake and it just doesn't matter with the fruit and veg (and since we made this change of emphasis, our results have only gone up and up from the days no one was eating them)
If you don't have PCOS or tendencies that way, then by all means carry on with SOME candy. But I just really do think that real food will be better for your egg quality overall and loading up on candy means you have less calories to "spend" on real foods that will be more helpful for your fertility and conception. Just use your own judgement on that.
