When you think about it though how much difference could it make? what about someone who has gbgb did they go from hm to lm back to hm and then back to lm? I think not lol
None of those things have ever been important to me.Quote:
A. Do moms who color their hair, have there nails done, exercise to stay thin, overly clean their homes, and so on... have more girls?
I've never been to the hair dresser.
I do sometimes colour my hair myself, I've never had my nails done. I've done them a few times myself.
I used to exercise but then I fell pregnant with bub#3 and we had to move and moved away from my gym.
My home is neat but I'd much rather have fun with my kids then clean all day every day.
Well, I think I'm kind of high maintenance in some ways (exercise a lot, and try to dress semi-nice, wear makeup daily). But I'm definitely not a neat freak. Funny though that this poll made me realize I'm really type A except when it comes to my house :P
I picked option 3 but I'm not sure if thats totally correct.
I do my makeup daily (not heavy) I color my hair regularly (at home, sometimes salon) I always paint my toes, sometimes fingers. I dress real nice occasionally but usually just "cute" somewhat trendy and comfortable i guess. I love clothes and love to shop.
My house is usually neat and clean but thats because I make everyone pick up after themselves. I really clean just about 1x week sometimes 2. I do use chemicals.
I don't wear much make up, just mascara. I don't exercise much, walks to the park etc. I dress nicely each day but comfortably. I don't do my nails or colour my hair. I use smelly cleaning products. My house is always clean but I'm not a clean freak.
This is cool to see the diferences and the gender of children...
I mostly wondered because my SIL (my bros wife) colored and highlighted her hair every 1-2mths, had her nails done every month, and cleaned her house with so many chems that you would smell a mile away. When her 1st was born and nursing for 11mths she never did any of that and she got pregnant right away with her 2nd baby who was a boy. She didn't nurse her son for very long and started back to her hair, nails, and house cleaning and got pregnant with a girl.
Because of this I actually started coloring my hair of course it is the same color as my natural color ;) (only for the last 2mths and I will not do it with this next cycle, I have painted my nails daily (clear), but I just can't use chemical cleaners in my house because of my asthma.
It's funny b/c although I was never "high-maintenance”, before kids, I was kind of a perfectionist keeping things clean and organized. I was careful about my appearance b/c I worked at a large corporation and was in charge of Org Development so I had to look professional. Having said that, I’ve never worn eye shadow in my life and seldom wear mascara (I’ve always called it “mas-scary” b/c it makes me look scary…). I looked clean and put together. I think the organization sways blue in my case. After kids, I do the minimal amount of housework, wear yoga pants (as I have since resigned and am now a SAHM). I’m really a bad housewife! I still like to look put together when I leave the house but my house no longer looks the way it did and I’m not bothered enough to clean it all the time.
I'm not high-maintenance but I think most would agree that I fit the "boy-mom" persona pretty dang well! I have a long string of obsessions and life-passions...none of em happen to be toilet-scrubbing unfortunately.
