Is it just the first cycle after a miscarriage that seems to sway pink?
I’ve found these evolutionary theories really interesting thankyou atomic. I seem to remember being bunged up with cold/flu when ttc my DD, I wonder if a Low immune system could have links to conceiving a girl.

It depends on how far along you were and how taxing the loss was on your body. For example, a chemical is simply not going to have the same effect on your condition and fertility (since contrary to popular belief, overall fertility can be suppressed after a loss, just like it is after childbirth, and lower condition/fertility may sway pink) as a second trimester loss. A loss that had only a day or two of light bleeding will not have the same effect as a loss where someone ended up in the hospital (g-d forbid!) So we operate under the assumption that the average person will be affected for at least the first cycle, but it is very likely 2 or even 3 for those who had a later loss and/or who were profoundly physically affected by it.
