I did ICSI, and 9 of my 11 embies were male. :)
I would look into a clinic that does their own sperm spinning method and combine that with ICSI/PGD. This was my back up plan, anyway. There was a lot of talk about a clinic near New Orleans that claims to have great success with their own sperm sort method and their IVF success rates are really good. It would be so much easier if Microsort was still around. :)

Also i noticed fromthe embryologist report that the method used for the sperm preparation was "swim up" -- isnt that the method used for gender sorting - if so, maybe thats why i got so many males??
I spoke to Dr. Sher this evening. Says all male have 50/50 of both sexes BUT...that some sperm and eggs for some chemical or other reason may attract each other more, thus leading in a preponderance of one sex. So he definitely suggested ICSI for gender selection. Take the natural selection out of the equation!
I had slightly more girls than boys with natural fertilization IVF, yet according to the theories about why eggs might attract x or y sperm, I should have had mostly boys! I would love to know what's going on between those eggs and sperm.

NO do not have DH go off the fertility supps. He needs as many, high quality sperm as he can get. Think of it this way, you would rather get 10 good embies even if 80% of them were XY (two good XX) rather than 4 crappy ones that were 50-50 (two lower-grade XX). Good sperm make good babies. Plus, there is NO DATA to suggest that having him go off the fertility supps will even MAKE you conceive more XX than XY to begin with.Quote:
