I know a bunch of Irish twins (who are 11-13 mos apart). And it's funny I never noticed until you asked the question, they are mostly boys! I'd say 90%. I know about 7 sets. But, there is one set GG and one GB. So, you never know! :)

actually that's more like 70% for all boys....not 90%! LOL
This baby and Evan will be 17 months apart. I hope and pray that what Atomic said about pregnancy depleting body works in my favor to have concieved a girl.
My boys are 3 and a half years apart.
The only Irish twins I know of are my cousin, she has two girls, born exaclty 12 months apart, that share the same birth month!
I know 4 sets.
1. Boy and Boy, 13 months apart
2. Boy and Girl, 15 months apart
3. Boy and Boy, 12 months part
4. Boy and Girl, 12 months apart

13 months between DD#1 and 2 :)
My babies that were closest in age were girl boy.
My Irish twins born 11 months apart are boys... but then so is every baby since!
My ds2 and dd are 16 months apart
my dd and ds3 will be 21 months apart.
I was still breastfeeding when I conceived my dd, almost fully, waking up hourly for my ds2.... I think this made a huge difference.
When DS#2 was conceived, DS #1 was 10 months old and breastfeeding.
At DS#2 birth they were 18 months apart. :)
People ask me if they are twins ALL The time! LOL
