I had dd1 at 24 and dd2 at 26. Hopefully, this is it for us and I will be 30 when this child arrives. If he is a he, then that's definitely my last child, if she is a she, well, I think so too unless something happens along the way. For now, I am not sure we could cater for more than three kids, who knows if our financial condition changes for the better.

I started when I was 31, had my DS2 at 34, and am trying for my 3rd now at 37. I don't want to stop until I get my DD :oops:! Hopefully it will be sooner than later.
Well, I am having my third at 32. I would like to try for one more in about two years and maybe another before I am 37. I feel 37 is my cut off.
I never really had a cut-off number, but I have secondary infertility and it has made it hard to conceive, my oldest ds is 14, ds2 is 8, dd is 5 and ds 3 is 16 months, if ds3 had been a girl I would have been done, I just turned 41 and we are starting the HT journey to give dd1 a little sister or sisters. I never really thought it would take so long for us to complete our family, but I wouldn't change it for anything, having my 4 kids, particularly this last baby has been such a blessing. I honestly don't know what I would do without him. He has been pure joy from the moment I laid eyes on him. So, my last may be when I am 42 or possibly 43, then we are done and done.
I never thought too much about the age thing. had DS1 at 26, DS2 the week i turned 30, DS3 at 32. I'm 35 now and will TTC for baby#4 then I think we are done. We always said 3 the least and 4 is our max. come to think of it, I think I will be considered advanced maternal age this time around now YIKES! Hoping i use my 35 year old egg before it turns 36!

My husband was done after #3 but didn't do anything perm. My DS#1 was born in 2006. I had 2 IUD's (Mirena & Paraguard). The Mirena didn't work for my body so switched to the paraguard. Believe it or not, it just fell out a couple months after having it. Within a month, we had a milisecond oops and I guess that's when we conceived DS#2 which was born 12/10. Since he passed away, I was desperate to get pregnant again at age 35. It took some heart felt discussions w/ DH, but he agreed to try again. If God blesses us w/ another child then we s/b 36. We've had children since we were 20 years old, so it might be nice at "us" time at some point, but having children is the greatest blessing and it's hard for me to just be done with making a life. Should be done at 36, but you never know. :)
i am 34 this time and when we sway pink i will be about 36 so im not sure, if we do get our dream gender then that will be it, if we get another gorgeuos boy im really unsure about how i will feel, especially as my DP says he wants 5 or 6, lol......i guess i will think about it when the time comes...ive always said my cut off point is when im 40 for ttc xx

I thought to be done at 34, when we knew Ds2 was a boy, I planned to have a third real quick after him, but we dindīt and itīs probably better this way.

Very jealous of you girls that are done or almost and are in their (late) twenties!
I often wonder if I will ever feel done... I sure hope that mother nature kicks in and I stop wanting babies one day! Otherwise I might end up with hundreds of kids. I already have three boys five and under. Soon to be four if my plan goes right.
I'll be 32 soon and hopefully will have one more at 32 and then MAYBE one more after that at age 34/35 or so. Then that's it. I really want #5, not sure about #6... will see when the time comes. :)
I got pregnant at 16 1/2 and at 6mth gest he was stillborn. Got preg at 25 1/4 but MS, most likely would have been a girl cuz I ate a girl diet. Got preg with my boys at 25 3/4 and 27 3/4... trying for one more later this summer a few mths before I turn 30. Will be my last no matter the gender.
I just turned 31 and I think I would probably have kids up to 40 if I felt healthy and up to it BUT since I had my daughter at 28 I think that lowers my cut off because I don't want too big of an age gap. I can't imagine a kid the age of my students (12-13) and a newborn. I would be insane. So I'm hoping to be done by 35 or 36. If my sway works, I'll be done just as I'm turning 32.
Wow! I'm old. I plan on having 2 and being done by 38.
I'm 25 and just had my first. We only want two, but, I too secretly would like twins and hope that at least one is a boy. But if we got pregnant again and there was one and we stopped trying after number two, I would be OK with an accident lol
But ideally want to be done by 35.
After we get kidlet #3 we'll be done. I turn 31 this year so we shall see.
I would like to be done by 35, but who knows how I will feel at 35. I am 31 now.
I'm 33 this year and hope to be done by 36. No idea why 36 though!!
I always said I wanted to be done by 30, but since I'm already 30 and not pregnant (on 2ww now), I'm going to shoot for 31. We are done after 3, regardless of gender.
Around 40? I think that is my limit.

Im 36, I always did say I'd like to have all my children by the time Im 35, so I hope to fall pregnant with my 3rd towards the end of this year, my daughters are 8yrs and 6yrs.
I had my 1st when i was 31, trying for our second i will be 33 fx, depending on the gender we may have another when im 35.
ill be 34 this summer. i always hoped to be done by 35 also but also ALWAYS wanted 4 kids total (2 boys and 2 girls). i have the 2 girls and swaying for the 1st boy. dh only wanted 2 but is "compromising" with the 3rd. however if he okays a 4th and im over 35 ill still try for that 4th and final!!! i guess truly id stop around 40. times are different these days right?
I always said my cut off was 30... so it looks like I'll make it. I'm 28 and growing my last baby.

I want to be done by 35. I'm 30 now and want at least one more, two more if I dont get a DD next. I work full time in a wonderful career so I cant just pop em out every year because the cost of a nanny to take care of 2 and 3 kids is through the roof. So I have to space em out so that only have to pay for 2 at the most at a time.....so when our son is 3 have another then get preg again when hes 4 if necessary
I never had an end date, 1st son at 21, 2nd at 24, 3rd at 27 and ds4 and me 29 was our last but complications at birth and can't tie your tubes so come back and I never did, good thing though because we weren't done so here we are ttcing are 5th and last child at age 31yr and I turn 32 yr in Jan so I guess age 32 I will be done lol

I swore I would be done having kids by 30. I was...I had DD#5 at just turned 29. But now I want just one more and I will be 34 next week!! So I want my final child before I turn 35!!
I don't have a top-age, I guess it comes down to finances. If we're older and we can afford another, we'll go for it!

i had my first at 25 and always said id love a big family, im the eldest of a family of 10 kids , my baby sister is only 13! my eldest is 11 so they are more like siblings than nephew and aunt ! im 37 now and have 4 boys with what is starting to look like my first girl due in january 12! so ill be 37 with 5 and i might be tempted to trying one more time after this ( but im not sure if my other half would be as willing ! ) mmmmmmm we'll see !
I'm 33. We will go until we're done, which isn't much longer. DH says 4 is the limit, so only 1 more. BUT he did say that if he writes a best seller we could have more kids. LOL Honestly, though, I don't think I can last much longer. I'm feeling old and tired already. But maybe that's because I have 3 energetic boys. ;)

I'm currently 36, I had my first DS at 21, second DS (different Dad) at 30, and my 3rd DS at 31....My husband and I are thinking about trying one last time to see if we can have a DD....Here's to hoping! (I turn 37 this year...)
My number 6 will be born just before I turn 33 (or maybe even on my birthday).
I am so done havind children! Just want to enjoy life without all the pregnancy and newborn issues.
For as long as you can plan things like this, i expect to get my third when i am 31 and it depends on my DH and the gender of the next one if we gonna try for a fourth 1,5 year after the birth of dc3, although i've always wanted 4 kids. So am prob done n my 33 or 34, but never say never....
Whats the saying?..."life happens when you are busy making plans". I thought 40 was my cut off. But in this journey over the last 4 years or so I stopped caring about the number except in the context of fertility and a healthy baby. This little one will be due a few days after my 41st b-day. We are done now, didn't think it would be stretched out this long but we are happy to be able to experience this again. It wasn't until it became more real that the choice gets taken out of your hands at some point whether you are ready or not that the life plan timelines didn't matter quite as much anymore.
When we first started talking about having kids (we were 23), I said absolutely none after 30. Now that I'm 30 and we want a whole house-full of kids, the cutoff is 40-43 depending on how the pregnancies go as I get older and on whether we have any more losses. We want 6ish spaced ~3 years apart and then after we're done making biological babies, we'll adopt 2-4 more.
