Mmmm...those cookies sound so good! What is the serving size, and the nutritional breakdown?
They're very buttery so it's best to stick with 1-2 cookies and make them on the smaller side.
The recipe didn't have nutritional data listed and of course, it will vary depending on the size of the cookie.
Ok, so definitely an occasional special treat! Got it! ;)
I have read three so far, need a few days to absorb all this great info :D
Love this thread also!
Thank you SO much for providing my bedtime reading for the foreseeable future!
Hi Atomic! I am new here (hopefully you still are active on this site!) and have spent HOURS of days reading all of your amazing info! The problem I'm now having is I'm super overwhelmed with all of this info and don't even know where to start! I have a 9mo old little boy and am dying for a little girl! I've always been really althletic with a high muscle mass (but still petite) but haven't worked out much since being pregnant and having my little boy. I also eat a lot of meat and salt, so I'm thinking I should start with diet? Just eating less, right? How would you simplify this all? I'm worried I'm now too stressed! Where should I begin? What would you say is the most effective? Help!!
Hi and welcome! Yep, still here plugging away at it.
I know it seems overwhelming at first but that's because I just want this site to have a lot of information about various tactics so those who want to use them, can do so safely and sanely. That doesn't always mesh with what I personally, or our results, are indicating are the best ways to sway. But I don't want to take off the info even about the tactics that haven't panned out for us, because those people who want to use them, will then end up getting info that may NOT be safe/sane and so we're going with the all-inclusive approach, even though it seems like a lot at first. :) Just ask, ask, ask anything that seems less than clear and I'll clarify.
Counterintuitively we are finding that a simple approach is ending up getting the best results as well, which is nice. The things that are getting best results are LE Diet + fiber for 12 weeks or more, cardio 60 min. a day 6-7 days a week if possible (or at the least 4 days a week), sticking to one attempt in the fertile window, Clomid if you can get it, and alcohol. Sodium has not been a very effective tactic and most of us have completely dropped it - it doesn't work at all and it makes it way easier to stick to the diet if you let go on that restriction. I got my girl without limiting sodium (and in fact eating a lot of it!) after getting my 4th boy while limiting it. None of the other tactics have really earned their keep, even though many people want to keep some other things in the mix, at least at the start
LE Diet is NOT just eating less. The thing about LE Diet is that it's designed to be a safe prepregnancy diet, just the minimum amounts. So just cutting back on food intake may not ensure you're getting the safe diet you need before pregnancy (some people cut back WAY too far), and at the same time others people end up eating more than they realize and inadvertently swaying blue with that approach.

Thank you so much for your response! Right now I am breastfeeding and not exercising at all - drinking 100% cranberry juice, crystal light ice tea, taking vitex, calcium mag and folic acid. With diet I am just eating less - smaller meals and no snacking. Also much less meat. How am I looking so far! Lol
I was also wondering about timing as my cycles are long and not very regular. Is it okay to abstain for more than a week? And then I would TTC a few days before ovulation, correct?
Thank you again for taking the time to help me! :)
Well, I do like you guys to track calories, protein, and fat intake to be sure you're getting enough, like I mentioned. IT's not just a matter of cutting back, it's a matter of only cutting back to a certain point and still getting enough to keep ovulating, and get and stay pregnant.
I would skip the cran juice. It isn't enough to sway (you'd need actual supplements for that, and they are not safe when breastfeeding anyway) and you're simply adding additional nutrients that may even sway blue.
We have not found timing to sway. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html Most of us have 2-3-4 or more timing opposites so it's easy for us to give up on it, if you want to keep it, it's up to you. Just have attempt 2 or 3 days before you expect to ovulate. Don't go any further than 3 days before O, your odds of conception will be too low. Just be sure that you stick with one attempt, one attempt regardless of timing has been super effective for us.
Don't abstain for longer than 14 days max and I'd recommend 7-10 days. Since you have an irregular cycle we often have hubbies release every 2-4 days (regular release) in that situation, but keep the one attempt (with or without timing). Abstaining has not had very good results and it makes very bad sperm that may cut odds of conception, plus your husband will end up exploding if you have him abstain for a long time in an irregular cycle. I'd go with the regular release instead for odds of conception and marital harmony. :)
Oh dear, I thought I read crab was safe during breast feeding- I'll cut the cran! I've read so many things conflicting on caffeine - is it okay? I'm drinking crystal ligjt ice tea and wasn't sure if I should look for a different crystal light or not. In addition to this, do you see that the lime tampon has good success? And as far as the rephresh... Do I just use it the one time after sex that I'm TTC? Lastly - I saw that you offer the dream members the full LE diet info for $1 a month - how do I go about signing up for that?!
Cranberry juice is fine, but it's not strong enough to do anything for swaying. Cranberry suppplements are not safe when nursing.
Caffeine is fine when swaying. The idea that it swayed blue has been totally debunked and we are getting GREAT results using coffee for swaying 3 cups a day or more. Tea has seemed a little more boy friendly so I'd prob. have a different kind of Crystal Light instead.
We don't use the lime tampon very much. It cuts odds of conception by a lot and we get good results without any of that stuff. I have an essay on how to use them safely if you want to do it, but I don't really recommend them.
Guide to RepHresh is here, we use it BEFORE, not after. If you do lime tampon, you can't use RepHresh because the combination can cause a pH spike. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...-and-RepHresh=
Link to buy Dream Membership is here (and thank you! this $$ allows me to do this as a job instead of having to work) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/payments.php
Thank you so much! I'm in!! I was reading some
Other threads and some talked about NOT taking calcium and magnesium when swaying pink when they already had a boy... Should I stop taking these supplements?
It is up to you. I, and many other people on this site, had had 2,3,4 or more boys on dairy and calcium so it was really easy for us to give up on the idea. (and I got my girl with both my husband and I eating hardly any dairy and not taking calcium supps, after getting 4 boys with lots of dairy and 3 and 4 with me taking calcium) But you need to do waht YOU feel is the best thing to do for you.
Such great info- thank you! I'm so sorry for all the questions .. I MIGHT have one or two more..? :D
I'm stuck on the exercise part. I have always been athletic and was previously super into weightlifting and CrossFit - I put on muscle REALLY easily and have a reaaaally hard time losing muscle. Even when I used to run I didn't have great results shrinking my muscles. Should I try for more cardio? Or not exercise at all? I haven't been exercising. I do have a 9month old boy right now who I am exclusively pumping for.

I answered your exercise question in another thread.
We don't evne know that muscle mass really matters. Exercise getting great results. So I think people should do what works (exercise) and let go of the things that are speculation (muscle mass) because we simply don't even know that muscle really matters.
Thanks so much, Atomic!! That all totally makes sense and I understand. I have been on the LE diet for a few weeks now -- I have lost about 9 lbs (yay) - I've completely cut out meat, potatoes and excess salt. I eat yogurt and strawberries, grilled cheese, rice, pasta with marinara and definitely chocolate in there! I try to stick to 2 meals but sometimes need 3 but don't ever eat breakfast. The thing is, my CM doesn't seem to be drying up at all (tmi sorry) my diet has had a pretty big shift as I used to be meat and potatoes all the time! Do you have any insight into this? Is there anything else I could be doing , or does that not mean that things aren't on the right track?
Both 2 and 3 weeks are equally acceptible and allowed so please do whichever works better for you.
There may be changes in CM happening htat you can't see with the naked eye. Some people also take longer than a few weeks for the CM to change.
Any changes in your menstrual flow?? Honestly I am seeing this sooo often that I am wondering if it's more reliable than changes in CM
That's true - I'm not testing my CM, just observing if that makes sense. I haven't gotten my period yet (my cycles are long!) but I'll keep an eye on that! Thank you :)

If you have long cycles you may want to look into the alternate diets for PCOS and PCO tendecies here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...rt-3-pcos.html
These may be better for you, because sometimes those with long cycles will develop full blown PCOS eating too many carbs like on the Standard LE Diet.
