Hi ladies! Anyone know where we can get sugar free sweets, I've got a real sweet tooth with this diet!
would some of the diabetic sweets be OK?
I think so. M and S do some as well. I have been eating chewing gum it helps me
Where do you get diabetic sweets? I've looked in m and s, which ones? I've been eating the boys Percy pigs but I don't think I should!!!
not sure, apparently you can get diabetic vanilla ice cream in asda and tesco!
I'm pretty sure you can get them in Holland & Barratt. Weight Watchers sell them at their meetings too if you know anybody who goes!
They are in a little box and with the other sweets. they are just sugar free and strawberry and cream flavour. (m and S)
Thank you!!!! Will try all options to satisfy my sugar craving!
I have small sugarfree mints, Wrigley´s Extra forest fruit, the ingredients are sorbit, isomalt, citric acid, aroma´s, aspartam, acesulfam K (is this a vitamin?), sucralose (is this sugar?), do you all think we can eat these all day or would that make blood sugar rise? My understanding is that fake sugar makes blood sugar rise and then fall back lower than before, but is the rising a problem if I eat them a lot?
tesco do sugar free marshmallows too
Thank you, rainbow flower!
Sorry, indira, I don't know for sure but you can have sweetener in drinks at any time so I guess it should be ok whenever but lots all through the day probably wouldn't be good
I think sugar free gum is recommended on in gender so artificial sweeteners are good. chrystal light is allowed first thing in the morning so it should be fine.
Ok then I´m going to have one now  thank you both
co-op do a "healthier choice" soft cheese with onion and chives
per 100g:
100 calories
11.0g protein
4.2g carbs
4.2g fat
0.2g sodium
0.6g salt
Yes, that's the reason why but it's pure carbs which is GOOD for TTC pink. Not as good if you're trying for some sort of healthful weight loss.
Peas, on the other hand, do have protein and so you need to be a bit cautious not to eat a ton of them. A bit is fine.
Acesulfamate K is NOT a vitamin, it's an artificial sweetener and fine for pink.
Sucralose is not sugar, it's Splenda and also fine for pink.
Fake sugar doesn't make blood sugar rise and it is fine to use it all day long (with the exception of stevia/truvia because that sways blue). REAL sugar makes blood sugar rise and then fall back, and you are right on that, don't eat sweets regularly all day long, stick with the 2-3 meals a day idea and include your sweets with your meals.
Thorntons do really nice sugar free sweets and today I had a diabetic caramel bar, it was lovely!!!! Probably not good regularly but fine as a treat!
thanks for the sweeties tip! I do have a sweet tooth :)
my DH is dieting, so we're using "Fry light" in case that helps- it's a 1cal per spray cooking oil
i just wanted to say hello im from the uk and ttc pink. I have found your posts very helpful i was struggling with eating just pasta or rice plain or with just a sprinkling of parmsan cheese thank you for the new ideas and diffrent thinks too look out for when im shopping next :0)
Hi twinkle!
When are you planning on ttc? Good luck with your sway!!!!
hello swish im ttc after af arrives. I had a miscarage which started May 20th and started taking sups and started the girl diet soon after as we knew we wanted to try again and this time sway (on my part) but ended up with a ERPC for it being incomplete on the 10th June.
Im totaly ok with the m/c now i was so sad to begin with as it was twins and they would have been due chistmas day. I really want to be pregnant by then. Dh isnt convinced by the swaying thing and wont take sups and wont go on the diet but as i do the shopping and i do the all the cooking im just cooking mainly girl friendly foods for him and keeping away from potato tomatoes and red meat as much as posible lol.
this is a normal day for me
AM 1 cup of decaff coffee calcium magnesuim and cranberry sups
lunch 2 ryvita (not sure if they are ok) Muller light yoghurt
dinner bowl of pasta or rice witha little parmasan cheese and veg (greenbeans, broccoli or cauliflower)
snacks ryvitas plain rice cakes and i like them dry (my god i must be mad!)
its boring me already and its only been 2 weeks but im hoping it wont be for much longer
Hi twinkle, your diet looks good! You can have ryvitas as long as they don't have too much salt, the ryvitas cracker breads have nothing in them at all so are good to keep in the cupboard if you get hungry!!! Keep us informed about your sway!x
Ahhh i have the ryvita crispbreads they are in a red packet, the original ones they have 0.05 salt . they have been what i have been eating to help the hunger pangs and the rice cakes (the asda ones have no salt) I will have a look in asda tomororw for the crackerbread ones. Im going to start to make a shopping list out just for my stuff and hope the list will get a little more on it over time.
I've just discovered the Heinz Chocolate Biscotti biscuits - taste like the biscuit of a bourbon (without the creamy bit), delicious! I was expecting them to taste a bit bland like the other baby foods so was pleasantly surprised!
21 calories, 0.01mg sodium per biccy, and 99p for a small pack of them. I know what I'll be buying when on the diet ;)
Lol rainbowflower, you're the Queen of baby food :D I do like the Organix crisps I must admit - although I discovered today that Tesco version of Hoola Hoops and Monster Munch aren't bad at all either! Certainly ok for the occasional treat and built into the daily allowances.
I have another discount code for www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk. The code is 'AD3' and it's for 10% off until midnight tomorrow night (sorry, should have posted earlier!). It will also work on www.value-med.co.uk.
I ordered loads of OPKs and HPTs etc. from them, delivery was free and it all arrived quickly.
well, I have a baby who is my excuse for buying these things.. and I think we all sample everything we give to them don't we? lol (although I haven't given him these choccy ones yet, nope, bought those for mummy ;) )
Could someone please point me in the right direction for the ranges we are allowed (calcium etc) for ttc a girl.
Many thanks in advance
x
Hi butterfly, welcome!!! I would but I'm not sure where they are! Are you going to follow the low everything diet. If you are you will want to become a member and read the threads in the private section. Gl!!!!
Hi and welcome! Here is the link to the index of the various threads http://genderdreaming.com/forum/show...COMPLETE-Index!!! and then there is my "low everything" diet available in the Members section.
A lot of the limits depend on which diet you choose to do. Some do the Low Everything diet, some do the French diet (also in the members section), some do the In-Gender style diet, or you can even just go vegetarian/vegan if you want to.
I've just found a website and it suggests good low sodium cheeses to pick are emmental and mozzarella. It also suggested to look for plain frozen fish portions as those are also lower in sodium, so I've been researching (on Tescos) and found these:

Thanks rainbow - trace of sodium in ketchup IS good :D I've been eating reduced fat mozzarella too. I also find that parmean and feta aren't too bad and I have a Dairylea cheese slice in my sandwich most days! Half-fat creme fraiche is great for moistening pasta too and has barely any sodium depending on the brand.
Hi ladies, new to this site, was on IG, but went crazy with it! Currently in mth 2 (in my 2ww) TTC a girl. Look forward to getting to know u all! I'm from Uk. x
