Oh also I forgot to mention I've started using the ovulation tests and for the past 3 days (including today) the result was a blinking smilie face which means high fertility. According to my calendar I will ovulate on the 6th. If I take the test tomorrow and I get the same result should I just go for it, wait til the stationary smilie face (peak fertility) or wait another cycle?

The test says to have sex on peak fertility day and the day after to ensure a successful pregnancy. However I remember you saying to only have sex once per cycle. So what day should we try?

You want to dtd on "peak fertility" day when you have the stationary smiley. This is a positive opk and means you will ovulate in the next 8-48 hours most likely. If you dtd before that then you risk the sperm already being dead by the time you do ovulate.

And you're only supposed to dtd once during your "fertile period" not just once your whole cycle. Your fertile period is only about a 4 day period-- mostly the 3 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation.

Wait until you get a solid smilie then DTD once. Good luck!

Thanks for advice on the peak day ladies. Anyone know anything about the first question I asked (about the folic acid)?

So Hubby and I did "the baby dance" at midnight tonight (I mean 7hrs ago). We did it doggie style because missionary was*aggravating*something and causing pain. He had me lay down with a pillow under my hips because it was too much pressure on my knees. When he came he pulled out so it was further away (impressed with his self-restraint lol). After about a minute or two I jumped up to run to the bathroom and alot spilled out down my legs. Hopefully it wasn't all of it!

Now it's 7am (finally going to bed) and decided to check my ph and it is really high. I attached a picture.

Also my mucus is very springy (the best word to describe it), thick, shiny, clear, and it was a rather large glob. Is this ph level and mucus type normal and good for fertilization?

Sounds good! Yeah, BDing will REALLY bring your pH up - though it sounds like you are having nice fertile, EWCM, too, whuch is also higher in pH. That's definitely the best for fertilization, though if you have a lot, you might want to take some Zyrtec to dry it up a bit.

If you get excess folic acid, you just will pee out any extra. I wouldn't take any more than that though.

oh I hate it when vitamins do that. the 400 mcg folic is for 3 gummies.

Just DTD once on peak.

It's normal for pH to go up after intercourse. I can't see your picture but after 7 hours have passed, the sperm are long gone up inside where the stuff happening in your VJ can't affect them any more anyway.

THat may be mucus or may be leftover semen. Again, 7 hours after the fact it's a done deal and there's nothing you can/should do at this point.

I prefer people only take antihistamine before attempt and not after bcause the sperm and egg will need some fluid to move thru and we want that to be thin enough to allow the process to happen. :)

Even if you have HUGE amounts of EWCM? IME, antihistamines dry up most but not all of my EWCM; I still have some right at my cervix (as per speculum). Fortunately when I'm actively on the LE & Vitex I don't get much EWCM at all, but if I were ever to try randomly while not swaying, I'd be concerned about my mega EWCM.

As always, your call to make on that. Trouble is we honestly don't know how it works, how much or if the egg is even negatively affected by antihistamine, etc.

Turns out I've got lots of healthy eggs and my tubes are open, so nothing is wrong with me. His count is high, his motility is high, his ph is 7.6 but his morphology is 4% (which the doc said is normal). So I'm not sure why nothing has happened yet.

We're trying again, round 2! So now he want to know if there's anything on his end he can do to help. I saw that some pages suggested taking cranberry supplements, abstaining from coffee, low salt and the doc suggested taking walnuts to improve morphology. What do you think? Anything you would add?

Oh by the way I've tried to keep up eating salmon twice a week, and two yogurts a day but money has been tight since hubby lost his job for a bit. So I am eating more like 1 every day or two, and salmon every once in awhile (maybe on a few times a month). He got a job again so I will be going back to salmon twice a week, and yogurt once a day (it's too expensive for 2x day). Hopefully that's enough. Well, 3 cycles is not unusual at all to not conceive in that time and I"m actually surprised your doctor was willing to check you out, usually they'd make you wait 6-12 months.

Are you talking about swaying or getting pregnant??? If you're having trouble conceiving I would not do the cranberry but would do Olive Leaf instead for him. Skipping coffee and salt are debunked and we have gotten better results for pink without dropping them. Walnuts are fine in moderation.

CAn you tell me the other stuff you're doing so I can help you increase your odds of conceiving?? Supps, jellies, etc.

Yeah you are but I lied, since I was getting worried. I didn't want to waste time waiting that long to find out something was wrong or not. Before I had my miscarriage, we only tried once and got pregnant right away, so this made me nervous that nothing has happened in 3 tries. But if you say it's normal I guess I won't worry so much.

I still definitely want to sway pink! Olive leaf? What's that? He's supposed to be taking 1cup walnuts daily according to the doc.
