I'll be 20 weeks October 13 but I was going to try to get a gender ultrasound on September 22, I'll be 17 weeks then so hopefully they'll get a good peek, and my birthday is the following Saturday so we can double up my birthday cake as a gender reveal cake for the family.

I love that idea Arimethia! I've been trying to convince DH that we should have a gender reveal party but he's pretty adamant he wants us to appear to be team green until the end - I'm too excited to even attempt that!! You'll definitely get a great idea at 17 weeks, how exciting! Xx

I keep thinking about this post as I get closer to being able to do a gender scan, apparently I could get one as early as next week and I'm feeling SO NERVOUS about it this time. The stakes feel so high, I feel like if I don't get a girl not only will I be dealing with my disappointment, but my whole family's, and I can't help but feel like my family will not be as excited if I find out we're having another boy. Like they won't want to make the effort to come meet him, or look forward to his birth. As of one, ignorance is kind of bliss but I also desperately want to know so I can get it over with!

I feel and hear you arimethia!! I am deciding what I want to do as well!! Team green, find out and not tell anyone or find out and be really really happy or find out and have the usual horrible comments....soooo tough Xx

I think we're going to find out and keep it a secret. We'll either say we know and not tell to drive everyone crazy or just say we don't know and have the same effect. Lol, it has the same effect as not finding out but I will have some time to deal with my GD before the birth.

I think that's a really good idea arimethia one im leaning towards as well! How many weeks are you? Xx
