BeautifulRainbow, just a heads up - regardless of what your dr saw on your scan, you may not O until later tomorrow or the day after (or even a day or two after that). It's impossible to predict when exactly O will occur based on a scan or even multiple scans, and there is a huge amount of variation in how fast eggs mature and how quickly each woman resounds to a trigger shot. The egg won't pop until it's ready, and I've seen many women O 2-4 or even more days after a trigger shot. So please keep BDing E3D or whatever your plan is while swaying, for at least the next week, to cover your bases. All of that being said, I really hope you O promptly tomorrow! Oh, and I've seen the trigger show a line on tests for as long as 16 days after. Will you test out the trigger?

Magical, that's wonderful about the vacation! I'm so excited you've decided to do HT for a girl. It just makes sense if you need IVF anyway.

What do you mean by test out the trigger?

Beautifulrainbow thought I'd answer as its probably middle of the night where maiden is. Test out the trigger just means doing hpts to test the hcg out of your system caused by trigger shot. So you test daily to watch the test line fade out/disappear, then if it comes back or darkens increasingly again you'll know its a true bfp. That's my understanding of it. Some people do this to avoid the confusion of wondering if a pos hpt is a true bfp or still hcg from trigger.

Maiden just a thought about meeting new donor either this cycle or next. Does someone know where you are going (address) and the name of the man you're meeting. As exciting as a new donor is, it couldn't hurt to take precautions and have a friend who knows when and where and how long you'll be? I don't mean to come across as paranoid lol and you've probably already thought of this anyway :)

signingmommy, 5 of my 6 pregnancies were conceived while on birth control/condoms/trying to avoid pregnancy, most from one attempt 4-7 days before O. And now here I am, actively TTC for the first time ever, and after 13 cycles at least half of which had very well timed attempts, I still haven't seen even a hint of BFP. It is so discouraging.

Thanks! If we don't conceived this month, we will probably wait until the end of summer. I would love a May baby, but I have the baby bug bad now...so that may change. I'm also very impatient. I would be delighted if I fall pregnant this month!

Yes, I will start testing on Monday, April 4th. I'll be 8dpo, which is probably too early, but I'm anxious! Will either continue to test everyday or every other day until either BFP or AF.

PBN, I do have follow up bloodwork scheduled for Monday morning to check my progesterone levels. Fingers crossed for good numbers.

Inforthree I had mirena for almost 4 years I had it removed and got pregnant my first cycle after removal, I did have an early mc at around 5 weeks, I should of waited another cycle, but after they miscarriage I had one cycle again and got pregnant with my DS who now 2! My cycle weren't funky they right back to normal just period was light, still is till today.

Hey everyone!!! Ive been following these 2wk wait posts for the last two months. I am ready to ttc but I still have no return of my cycle following the birth of my son 17 months ago.

Finally a few days ago I think I may have potentially o'ed! I got a dark opk but it wasn't quite the same color as the control. I wasn't able to test again for about 26hrs and it was way lighter??? My cervix was very high and soft and I had ewcm. I don't temp because my kids get me up multiple times at night so it wouldn't be accurate.

Hopefully I ovulated! We dtd the day before I took the opk. Hopefully I will either have a bfp or a period in 2 weeks!!!

I did an OPK this morning from fmu, didn't think I'd get a positive that time in the morning but I did, a very dark one but it was concentrated fmu. I tested again just now and got another dark positive. At what point will I stop getting positve opks, will they continue because I had the trigger shot. On previous cycles I only got positive opks for 2 days
The nurse told me I wouldn't get a positive opk, but i would get false positive hgc test if testing too soon.

Beautiful Rainbow, triggers don't cause false positive OPKs. It sounds like you are just having a long/strong surge. I had a very strong and slightly longer surge than usual on injections. So it could be that.

jenren, welcome, I hope you did O! I rarely get true positive OPKs personally.

I ended up falling asleep...I was just way too tired/in too much pain. New donor is pretty busy right now with work and in different places each day so it's not ideal for either of us. It feels like I just started Oing (it's 3pm here), so the timing would have been close anyway. But i am happy to have attempts on O-3 and O-1 from my usual donor, maybe that, plus all my EWCM and Clomid will be enough. I haven't had more than one attempt in my fertile period before, and I was very dry ladt time on Clomid, so I'm somewhat hopeful. I'll try to plan something for next cycle with new donor that avoids any last minute travel! I can't handle that, it's way too stressful.

I've met a lot of people from online and never had problems. I always meet in public initially and usually at least 2 people know where I am and whom I am meeting. I might still meet new donor this weekend, we'll see. I appreciate the concern Pbn3!

Maiden it's kinda relieving to hear that you don't get many true positives on opks I was stressed out that the line wasn't as dark or darker than the control. It was definitely the darkest I have ever had and I had other o symptoms at the same time so hopefully that bodes well for me. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

The picture of my opk is the darkest I have ever had, all one I have done in previous cycles have never been anywhere near as dark. Could have missed some positives due to thinking as it was fainter than control line it was a negative.

Hi 1moregirl! I think smep is a great idea for you! I wanted to try it my last two cycles but never got to do all the attempts due to dh shift work. I'm on my first clomid cycle and doing eod as per my obs recommendation and feel so lucky as dh will be on annual leave so for once there will be no worrying about when/how we are going to bd!! Hey :) dropping in to say hello.

Here is an intro for those who don't know me... I had been ttc since Feb last year and had a m/c at 9wks in June 2015 and then eventually conceived again for it to end in a m/c at 10wks in March. I was also officially diagnosed with PCOS last year as I have wacky long cycles and various other symptoms. I have two boys who are 7 and 4 so my potential age gap with #3 is steadily increasing.

After the last m/c I was positive we wouldn't ttc anymore but 2 weeks on I'm not sure. I'm thinking of just seeing what happens, no charting, no OPKs, not really doing LE diet unless I get motivated to do it (I'm trying to delay breakfast and cut back on the snacking as a minimum). We will just try to BD every 3 to 4 days and maybe a bit more when I think I'm ovulating as I can normally tell roughly from my O pain.

Anyway, I'm also trying to cut back on forum activity but I thought I would provide an update.

The egg was on my left, and I had some tugging pain on my left yesterday moring, before having some tenderness on both sides?
I don't temp because when I used to either the temp was all over the place or I forgot because my cycles could go on and on.
The nurse said I opks don't change when I have the shot but they did, also she said I would o between 9-11am yesterday she said it was very reliable because it is what they use in ivf so they can collect the eggs.
