As for diet, my usual plan is
Morning: oatmeal, or boiled eggs or omelettes
Snack: banana
Lunch: Meat with rice, fries
Snack: dark chocolate with almond, salty chips
Dinner: Meat with rice or pasta

And drink lots of lemon water throughout the day

Oh I am sorry you've had to delay your ttc. Maybe you could do both? On the plus side I assume being longer on the diet sways more towards your goal of blue?

I successfully swayed for our son via Shettles method and hoping to do it again this time around but things have changed quite a bit since my last sway, there’s so much more controversy in it and diets are all so varied. Having read through several sway guidelines I have decided to come join you ladies at gender dreaming as it’s closest to what I did before with a few slight variations.

Thats 100% true. In the beginning I got confused about the different ways of swaying. I was reading threads on IG and over here. It was so confusing. I decided to follow the HE diet because it fits better with my lifestyle. As you can read we had plans to ttc in October. unfortunately the plans are changed now and we will ttc later. Not sure when. Hopefully December of this year.

Can I ask about the Shettles method. Like I know the shettles method adviced to bd once at the O time. What did u follow of the shettles method while u swayed for your son? I will follow the advice of atomic and will bd at least 3 times after having positive opk.

Ladies, is anyone going to drink baking soda?

Yes we only BD once at O with my Shettles sway. It does make me nervous to try the 3 times around O as atomic advices but it makes sense. I’m 34 now so I’m thinking given my age my fertility may be reduced so those extra chances may be Necessary. I don’t feel that I produce enough EWCM either compared to my younger years. I won’t be BD EOD tho, only around O. I need to go out and get some clear blue smileys as my cheapie OPKs haven’t been very clear at indicating O and my temps haven’t been very clear either, possibly a non reliable thermometer ��. Last time my temps were perfect indication and cheapie sticks did the job but not proving so easy this time around!

Hope you manage to start trying in December and don’t put on too much weight ongbe HE diet until then hehe... I’m feeling the extra calories x

Hiya, I'm a bit confused with the opks. I have 2 dd's and hoping to sway blue, potentially in Nov or Dec. I'd never heard of swaying until 2 weeks ago! I have bought some cheapie opks and line was almost as dark as control line yday. But I'm wondering if I should invest in the clearblue smiley opk for when we actually ttc? Not sure if they're worth the dosh?

We are also attempting a baby boy sway for early November! I have a wonderful 4 year old daughter but would like to complete our family with a beautiful baby boy. We only want 2 children so whatever we get will be our last. I'm completely okay with getting another daughter as I know sisters can be closer in general but would like to make at least an effort to sway for a boy! My husband is extremely supportive and has made a tremendous effort to change his lifestyle to raise his testosterone. Good luck to all!

I am also ttc a boy this November. It will be my first attempt and first child. I was on hormonal birth control for 10 years and got off of it the end of July. I have been using OPKs for 2 months and actively following the HE diet for the last week or so (before I was loosely following it). DH has been willing to take a multivitamin, occasional fish oil, and avoid alcohol. I’m wishing us all the best!

dreaming rainbow - If it was a definite line within the 10min time frame then it indicates ovulation. I had a faint line this morning but I’m pretty certain I already ovulated so why it never worked then and showing as now I don’t know. I think it would be worth while to keep testing with the cheapies and confirm it with clear blue on the month(s) ur active trying to conceive as timing around O can help the sway x

Omg so dh went in a hot tub for 30 mins once amd he never goes in a hot tub. I am hardcore swaying in every way and am so upset that this happened. Our attempts were going to start end of November do you tgink i should wait longer now? The timing is really good when we want to attempt but now i dont know....

I don’t think it will effect your sway since your weeks away from ttc .. to my knowledge the point of not taking hot showers etc is to help DH sperm be active, this far in advance whatever sperm is there won’t be there when your ttc In nov. I’m sure it’s nearer the time you would encourage cold showers etc but if I’m wrong hopefully someone will correct me x

How can I add photos?

I was reading about opks last night .. as momwithlove says above that’s not positive indication of O, it will go as dark or darker than the test line. Also test mid afternoon not morning pee .. needless to say i messed this up this month �� I’ll def be doing it properly next month and using clear blue to confirm x

Fair play to you losing 40lb!! I've been eating a lot of carbs the past 3 weeks and have put on 3lb already! I am a bit concerned about putting on a lot of weight (I already need to lose 14lbs!) But if I get a healthy baby (& a boy) then I don't care, it will totally be worth it. Keeping my eyes on the prize!

Twice a day at 12:00 am and 20:00 pm. I was adviced to test twice a day so I would not miss my peak.

Welcome and nice to see you want to write with us! What I have read is that atomic recommended to be at LEAST 6 weeks on the HE diet before the first attempt! If you want certainty about your attempt ask the atomic for advice. Because I have also read you lost weight before starting the diet. I can remember that I had read in one of the threads that losing weight is pink friendly. Again, I am not an expert so ask the atomic for her advice!

May I ask you something? How do you monitor the amount of your calories? I really do not know how many calories I get in a day and that fact makes me nervous because I doubt if I am getting the right amount per day! I do not manage either to eat 9-12 servings of veggies a day! Gosh now I am scared!

Did u get your girls by having one bd at o day?

My boy was a Shettles timing baby too, so I feel nervous about timing..atomic recommends 3 attempts, one on evening of O then once on the next morning and then the evening, however also have success from one attempt at O which is Shettles method anyway ... I’ve not decided yet wether to have 1 attempt or 3. I definitely am not ready for trying every other day, i understand the theory behind it but it’s just so far from what I did to conceive my son so I’m scared to try that. What is everyone else thinking to try ? x

I have 2 girls. I never heard if swaying before finding this site a few weeks ago. Both times we dtd every 2-3 days a week or so before O, then when I got positive opk we dtd each day for a few days (on dd2 only as never heard of opks before her!)
I'm a little nervous dtd x3 at O might also swing pink but if my baby is meant to be a girl then so be it.

Do u hold pee for 4 hours hours prior to testing? I find it extremely difficult to hold for even 3hrs at a time! Does this really matter?

Any idea of which clearblue is better? The pink or purple?

No I dont hold the pee for hours but I don’t drink water at least 3 till 4 hours before the test!

And about your question about clear blue..I don’t use clear blue but I think the pink one is better! It is clearly indicated by a smiley if you have reached your high peak! The purple one is unclear because he has multiple options

The patron is recommend to sway blue. That’s why I am scared to bd every other day unprotected! I will stick on the 3 attempts after having positive opk! I am confused!!! Have to read more successful stories and see what they did when they were swaying

That's a good idea. I drink a lot of water so I'll restrict it a bit.
