Ok I downloaded and updated my ff! Now I'm wondering should I just stick with my opks and not worry to much about temping? Or is temping very important? I was planning on the 16th because that's cycle day 12 and just in case I ovulate CD 13 I want to be ready!

Pnb3- so since I am possibly/likely having an one attempt on Saturday or Sunday after no attempt since previous Sunday.... do I have DH release while I'm out of town? He will do whatever I tell him to. He says, "I'm 30, I don't have energy to do that, unless I need to because you tell me to."

Unfortunately strawberrybella opks cant tell you you've ovulated, only that your lh has peaked but used with temping it can help narrow down how long after pos opk you are actually ovulating. Its normal to ovulate up to 48 hours after pos opk, even 72 hours but without temping you simply won't know. I'd probably do both next cycle just for clarification purposes then ditch temping after that (if you haven't become addicted to temping by then [emoji12]) I find it unusual that you'd get a sustained temp shift three/four days after when you'd usually get a pos opk that's all, and think you're better off making sure next cycle that everything lines up [emoji4]

What type of opks are you using? I'd be interested if they were super positive or just approaching. Ive had a wide range Your temps aren't consistent with your positive opk. Maybe that's part of the reason you haven't been successful YET. [emoji848] or maybe this was a weird cycle with a delayed ovulation or delayed temp rise. With AI, I know you've gotta have a little bit of a plan and it's expensive. My friend and her wife had a private donor on call. Do you have a private donor or clinic?

Strawberrybella that opk you've entered in cd13 was just entered because that's when you'd usually get one right? You didn't actually use them (opks) this cycle?

Awesome ok I'll keep it all together and if next attempt doesn't take I'll see how addicted I am by then [emoji23] I get very easily addicted to things concerning pregnancy! I always get a positive opk around CD 12 night or CD 13 morning or night so we will see how temp goes this time!https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/474f80
Oh I defiantly used them this cycle too! I've never stopped them even when I wasn't trying https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/474f80
I'm using clinical guard, smile reader, and dollar store opks.i get my mediums on CD 12 usually and then my equal or darker ones CD 13. I haven't been trying just tracking for next month! https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/474f80
And we have a private donor!https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/474f80
My opks this month. My equal slightly darker one was the one that says 9.4 but the picture came out weird. The one I took the next day was just about equal but slightly lighterhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1caf9adacf.jpg
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/474f80
And after those they just kept getting lighter!

Maybe I'm doing the temp wrong? She told me to do it right when I wake up before I sit up or do anything. But sometimes I get up at different times depending when kids or wife wake up?
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/474f80
That's what I'm thinking too. Pbn3 has taught me so much. So what if 6/22 noon is the true blazing positive and strawberry is on the later side of normal at 48 hrs post positive opk making 6/24 ovulation day and temp rise was a smidge late too. Just a theory. Or something like sleep, weather, etc...affected temps the days 6/24-25....

Hgmama I'm thinking cd15 (23rd) as a possible contender for o day with a fallback rise before spiking.... or see below re: open mouthbreathing possibility
Strawberrybella you're not doing it wrong. As long as you take temp after your longest sleep preferably around the same time each morning (and before getting out of bed or moving around alot) it will be enough for a pattern to emerge ☺ Are you temping orally or vaginally? If orally, open mouth breathing can cause a falsely lower temp which could be throwing your temps off..

I texted him and he replied, "Are you saying you want me to masturbate?" And then followed up that he had a long day and is tired. I said sorry... go get the job done. Let's just say, I think his testosterone is low.

Weather is in the 100s lately so we have been sleeping with air conditioner on! Could that change it?

You can test vaginally?? Like just pop it in when you wake up? She didn't tell me that lol I've been testing just by mouth.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using Tapatalk
Yeah, it could because maybe you had a light blanket, maybe your mouth was open, etc. There are so many factors so take temping with a grain of salt. Nothing is perfect. Try not to worry about the temp. Look at the whole picture! That's what I've definitely learned. My first was conceived when I thought I was out of my fertile period because I didn't fully understand opks and temping was too hard with working night shift three days a week. Now that I temp and track symptoms and opks, it's much more accurate. I hope this next month is a BFP and everything works out perfect on your donor's side too.

Strawberrybella yes air conditioning can make a difference. When did you start having it on? Also temping vaginally is way more accurate than orally. I'd see the rest of this cycle out orally but switch to vaginal next cycle. You simply insert the thermometer until the head is completely covered, I usually recommend inserting alongside an index or middle finger a few times for practice and insert to the middle knuckle. That will ensure the bbt head is covered but you wont be poking your cervix [emoji12] Just use an alcohol wipe to clean it after each use.

Doubt it, but we'll see how it works out. It's usually not even in the conversation at all so it's a little awkward. He knows that I don't mind at all when I'm out of town or sick or something, but do when I am there and willingly. Oh well, for some reason I don't have a great feeling about this month, but I'm giving it my all.

Hgmama that's all you can do (hugs) you've asked him to do it so I'd just leave it alone now and not even ask if he followed through with it. Assume he has, keep you chin up keep that bfp firmly in your minds eye! You CAN do this and it can (will [emoji109]) be this cycle that it does [emoji173]

Off subject... I went to a baby girl baby shower today. The mama, my coworker, has had a ROUGH run at this whole TTC journey. Had their first daughter, but it took like 8-9 months of trying and after confirmation of a very low sperm count. Had an ectopic after 5 months and lost a tube. So tried for another year with no luck. Decided to adopt. Literally jumped through all the hoops and passed and found out she was actually pregnant again. So I feel for her! So happy for her. And there are SOOOO many cute girly things. I hope I someday have a similar shower!

Love stories like that hgmama!! And you will have your own rainbow story very soon [emoji178]

I had blankets one night and then slept naked the next [emoji23] Right it's so crazy with my boys I just got a donation on my first positive opk and boom pregnant!

I’ve heard so many stories like that!
A friend of ours was similar, they adopted after saying there was no chance to conceive , and then went on to have 2 more kids of their own! [emoji33]

I have no idea maybe like a week or more ago? Ok cool I'll start doing it different next time it's going to be a strange experience [emoji23]https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/474f80
Just caught up on everyone's stories and like StrawberryBella, I'm starting to temp too... think Pbn3 has twisted my arm. Only problem is I've started halfway through the cycle and am only using a regular thermometer, no where locally sells bbt thermometers so will need to look online. So the temps I have aren't all that accurate.
But I have a delema, I'm currently CD37 and AF hasn't shown up and am getting BFNs on frer with fmu... during CD17 and 18 I had darker opks but not positive, we bd CD19 and 20 as I had ewcm and ovulation pains which are rather strong so was pretty certain that I ovulated on CD19, my lp is always 14 days, and cycles are normally between 31-33 days. I was under the impression my cycle would have been 33 days that makes me over by 4 days.... though having said all that last month was 38 days long but I was super stressed with work and still managed to pin point ovulation and af arrived when I expected it to.
But today I'm seeing small amounts of ewcm type cm, it's not exactly the same. I'm wondering if I didn't actually ovulate at all this cycle.... So confused right now. What do you think I should do?
HGmama, my DH thinks it's hilarious if I tell him to go masturbate (we live separately most of the time) he says most women hate the idea [emoji23]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fe49e32ce3.jpg

Thunderstruck it's impossible to know if those are post o temps or not with no pre o temps available (will be handy for next cycle comparison though [emoji3]). However there does seem to be a steady decline in your temp which *may* be a sign of impending af. And it would just be like the ttc gods to throw some ewcm in this late in your cycle just to add to the confusion [emoji23] It's always straightforward until it needs to be right? [emoji12]
Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
Yeah exactly! I knew these temps weren't really any good for an indication on which way this cycle is going. But you're right it's definitely on the decline. Since you're a charting expert do you think those temps are rather low? Lowest one there was 35.9 °C (96.6)? I guess again it'll be a matter of getting a decent thermometer and charting a few cycles
Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Thunderstruck you'll get a good enough idea using a standard thermometer if you don't want to go down the road of a bbt (although I personally liked the 2 decimal point accuracy [emoji85]) And it's winter now (I'm also in Aus) and that's actually where my temps would go as low as from memory (the high 35's) you'll find as the weather warms up your basal temp will increase with it [emoji4]
Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
Oooh Pbn3 that's good to know... if I can't find the bbt thermometer by the time af is here I won't stress too much, I'm all about trying not to stress. Nice to meet a fellow Aussie! I'm in Tassie so it's definitely winter here [emoji23]
Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Wowsers winter for you alright! I'm in Queensland so anything below 20 feels like freezing to me [emoji23]
I love Tasmania!! Went there with a friend in Jan 2013 for a week and cannot wait to go back to see more! Some of the most beautiful scenery and beaches I've ever seen [emoji7]

Ooh you live in Tassie! We are so tempted to pack up & move down there. But I wonder how I’d cope with the cold! It is so beautiful [emoji7] but then we love Qld too Pbn. We’re in NSW
We are dreaming of a simpler life where hubby doesn’t spend 4 hours a day commuting on top of his long days in the office
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/35220b
Tassie is great, people are generally really friendly and it takes just over 4 hours to drive from one end of the state to another! [emoji23] much simpler at times in every aspect of the word, good place to bring up kids I think. Just move during the summer time and you'll adjust. We were in Sydney during January, when the temperature said 30s to us it felt more like mid 20s because here we have a dry burning heat, rather harsh.
I love knowing there's a couple of Australians amongst us

Emshe going to see Newcastle and the Hunter Valley (to visit the wineries [emoji12]) will probably be me and dh's first holiday together since our honeymoon [emoji23] few years away yet but maybe when Mara is 5 and nanny can come and stay for a few days [emoji6]
