I had two boys with preseed.
I'd like to add now that I used pre-seed and am expecting a boy :)
I used it twice and had 2 boys. I did not sway. I had copious Ewcm too though so I probably didn't need it. Will not be using it for my girwl sway for sure!

Okay...now I'm torn!!! Both of my girlfriends...1 with 2 girls and the other All 3 girls..used preseed and told me...USE IT!!! So..I figure..their diets have a lot to do with it causing them to be more acidic and dry when BDing so the Preseed helps the swimmers get where they need to go. Kills off the boys or slows them down and the preseed gets them past it quicker...When DH and I have tried 3 day cut off in the past we do NOT get pregnant. May be because CM is not enough and they don't survive. 2-1 day cutoff and we get boys...so...now I'm hoping diet and supps help my body to make a girl...I was SUPER dry last attempt and didn't use anything..not pregnant. So maybe the Preseed will help. I don't care either way...would LOVE my girl, but either way I will be happy. Planning on 3 day cutoff with preseed, then DH releasing every day (not bding) until O day then BD that night. Using Replens every 3 days as well. Ugh..I seriously just typed all this on autopilot..not even thinking about it DUH!
The point was, was that 2 of my friends suggested Preseed for girls. Wonderful
Here's the trouble with Preseed. A lot of people who are otherwise having issues with fertility (either male or female) use the Preseed to help conceive. All the Preseed does is alter the environment of the VJ - it does nothing to fix anything coming from the male side of the equation, and then past the VJ, sperm have to make it thru the cervix, the uterus, the Fallopian tubes, find the egg, and fertilize it. There is plenty of room for things to sway pink either coming from the man's side, or after the sperm leaves the vagina. Just because some people have gotten girls with Preseed, that doesn't mean it still doesn't sway blue!!
3 day cutoff makes it very tough to get pg for some couples. But the fact is that timing doesn't sway anyway. 2 of my sons were probably conceived with 3 day cutoff. So you're trading something that really DOES probably sway blue (Preseed) and will almost certainly sway blue for someone who's already conceived 4 boys (verifying that either you or DH or most likely both, are already blue-friendly), to include something that DOES NOT SWAY in any way (timing.)
Will you be doing FR or abstain? If you're doing abstain, then I think you'd be better off moving your cutoff attempt closer, 1-2 days before O, then switch to a compressed FR or hurry up FR for the O day attempt (assuming you're going for O+12 there? that's even worse for conception than a 3 day cutoff is.) If you're doing FR, then a cutoff, then he releases a few more days until an O+12 attempt, that's fine (but odds of conception are still low). What I don't want to see you guys do, is have one attempt 3 days before O (after an abstain), then switch to FR, have him release 3 times and then BD again because then the second batch will ahve a lot higher sperm count than is optimal.
Most importantly, you CANNOT use both Preseed and Replens anyway. It causes a chemical reaction that makes the sperm absorb too much fluid and explode!
I would MUCH rather you let go of some of the things that don't even sway and strongly prevent pg (timing) and see if you get pg that way, then keep those things and add Preseed to the mix!! That's a step in the wrong direction. Now if you've dropped all those things to begin with, and still aren't getting pg, then it's time to think about Preseed but IMO you're not ready to go to Preseed until you've dropped timing.
Atomic my plan was to bd every day af thru O...in the past we bd on O and maybe a day before that. that is all. I am thinking frequent bd was the key...then my friends suggested preseed. That was the plan for this month. I dont want to try O+12 because I would really like to have sex this month lol. So you dont think we should try preseed. I was sooo dry last month it was painful almost. Before the diet I had excellent cm...crazy cm... but I cannot gauge O on that anymore...or at least now. My girlfriends said they were just so dry that they had to use something. What is your opinion?
AND good to know about the replens and preseed!!! WTF should I do then?? Remove the preseed, use the replens and just bd every day?? Original plan once again.
I think ANY lube is fine for a pink sway except Preseed/conceive plus. KY, Sylk, they're both fine but the Preseed will help too many sperm to survive. (I was unimpressed with the lube properties of Replens.)
Okay...so I have to buy KY....funny..I looked at it and weighed them out...I don't think I have KY..have to get some. My other concern is that , even though I saw a slide full off swimmers..he is 47. That is why I thought preseed...to help them along. BUT we both have favored boy. I must say that my diet is sooooo different than what I am used to. I cannot tell you the amount of times I have said, NOPE can't eat that....and would have had I not been swaying. Eating 1100-1200 empty calories a day compared to 12-1500 healthy, balanced meals. I think I have lost my body forever LOL
Since DH is 47, you may be right and the Preseed wouldn't sway strongly blue for you, but I would have you at least give it a month or two without Preseed before going for the Preseed.
Atomic..one more question and I am done...I promise>......what about mixing a little lime or lemon into the preseed?? Otherwise I am just going to stick to the replens every 3 days prior to Bding...I don't want them to explode....bad picture in my head LOL.
Nope, that makes the sperm heads explode. Plus, it totally negates the point of the Preseed (which is to emulate the normal pH of CM at ovulation and aid sperm survival.) You're better off just using Replens which is meant to have low pH.
Just found out I'm having a boy and I used Preseed
This is what I have decided. Since DH is 47 and his little swimmers need walkers....(Can't catch the egg at 2-3 days cutoff) I am using PreSeed with a 3 day cutoff. Then the days just before and during O I am using REplens. Not together. I am hoping the PreSeed will help the swimmers to survive longer and give us a better chance at a build up of X swimmers. Then the Replens will slow down or lessen count. We have been bding since CD6 and will continue until the day after Oing. We have never done any of this before, usually the day before or day of O and always get a boy...I am prepared though and really don't care. Totally thinking boy and picking out boy names to focus on.
With each pregnancy I called the baby a girl's name until I figured out what it was...this time..I am just focused on boy. I read somewhere that you will get the opposite of your heart's desire....well...I am really at this point, desiring a boy. Kind of terrified of a girl. Not even going to pick out a name. God will decide anyway. Can't wait for the BFP!
You can't use Preseed and Replens tho, it's not good for the sperm. Even separated by a day or two, the chemistry is still in there and can react to harm the sperm. After 15-30 minutes, the sperm are out of the vagina and cannot be reached by the Preseed anyway so it can't be helping them to survive...the alkaline fluids in your cervix, uterus, and Fallopian tubes keep them alive. The Preseed only helps while the sperm is in the vagina.
I really would have been happy with a boy this time. It seemed to work for me and I hope it does for you as well. Having a girl is terrifying and I have episodes of mind numbing fear at times!!
We used preseed when trying to conceive #2. We weren't swaying, just TTC. We had a boy!

I do believe that I'll be buying some Pre-Seed once payday gets here.
ok wow this info about preseed is rather over whelming i must say!!. first of all from the info i have gathered i believe its a lubricant?? and please ladies for those who used it and swayed boy... how often and when did you use it? im new to this stuff !!
i also forgot to mention which company preseed is best to use.. im not sure whats out there

yes it is a lubricant that you insert. You can use it as little or as much as you want. I used a tiny bit each time DH and I BD'd. I can't remember what the brand was though, I don't think it matters as long as it is preseed.Quote:

Can I ask about cups.. Never heard of these. Is it to position the cervix. Which ones to sway blue!! Thsnks
Instead cups, some ladies insert them after DTD to keep sperm up close to the cervix.

The prob. that we've had with the cups is that inserting them is kinda difficult, you have to do some maneuvering to get it in there and lose some semen/sperm when you do that, plus, it's not possible that you get ALL the swimmers in there in one go so you're really sealing the cervix shut with some of the swimmers still on the outside. Since you want higher sperm numbers for blue, that's a pretty big step in the wrong direction and you'd be way better off just laying flat for 15-30 min. after BD.Quote:
