Oh and yes that's exactly right - hit the limits and then fill in around that with carbs, then the low carb veggies you add on top of that as filler since they're free and unllimited!

Sorry to have hijacked this thread it seems. Does anyone have ideas for small meals you can take with you in a couple ziplocks, etc? I am out of the house often on the weekends so need to plan ahead to avoid temptation. I was considering the small containers of peanut butter and maybe a baggie of baby carrots and sliced apple. Maybe some triscuits also.
One more thing. Is alcohol ok for PCOS diet also?
Browsing this thread - What is inositol? Is it a sway tactic and, if so, how does one use it?
can you bump this for me???
Yes alcohol is ok but I want to post the explanation and give some ideas for snacks on the go but out of time now
Bump! Thanks. :)
I'm watching this thread to get some ideas if we sway again next year.
I've had two opposites on Le diet so I think I need to try something different. Good luck ladies xx
Augh so sorry I opened this up again to post and had to close wihtout replying.
I want to explain why it is that alcohol is ok on the PCOS LE Diet when it's not on any other type of PCOS Diet.
If you're eating a diet that is already bad for PCOS (super carby, sugary, etc) and then you throw alcohol on top of that (not to mention not exercising, carrying extra weight) that is extra bad for PCOS. BUT what we are doing on LE Diet is NOT that. We are cutting carbs all together, getting our carbs from healthy sources, losing some weight overall, hopefully exercising, and eating in patterns that are better for blood sugar overall. So we can add in the alcohol without messing up our PCO (most of the time. occasionally someone wiht severe PCOS will have to drop alcohol) because we've made so many positive changes to correct the PCO tendencies.
Cheese sticks, whole grain crackers, cherry tomatoes (I have never eaten as many cherry tomatoes as I did when I was swaying LOL)
They have these kind of "gogurt" tubes that are made of greek yogurt now that are great.
I know a lot of you guys try to avoid meat but there is not much going on in a couple slices of lunch meat and it's really handy to take a roll or two of deli turkey in a baggie.
They also have some pretty yum snacks now that are made of things like dried peas and chickpeas. I ate TONS of wasabi peas when I was swaying. They've got a little protein in them and they're spicy so you eat them slow.
Does anyone know if the LE diet or the LE PCOS diet has had more success getting a girl? I am currently on the LE diet, but have been getting bloated and not feeling so great on it. So I was thinking of maybe combining the two diets. (I am also gluten free and it can be quite difficult to find whole grain foods that are gluten free). But I thought if I could at least add in a few of the PCOS foods, maybe it will help me feel a little better.
Ive also seen people on here say that they had a failed sway on the LE diet, so they are switching to the PCOS version. This made me think that the PCOS version had more success?
