DD1 had a heart rate 130-140 most of my pregnancy and everyone kept telling me she was a boy. One of my boys was always in the 160s and everyone said he was a girl. Baby’s heart rate will always be roughly double your iwn regardless of gender. Most of these Old Wives Tales are so silly!

Babybeaublue, isn’t that the best sound ever?!? I wouldn’t pay the heart rate much mind either in regards to gender. They’ve been totally wrong for me too.

Girls, I just found out my best friend had a mmc. This would have been her first baby. She was waiting to tell me when we met up but I kept putting it off and now I feel awful. Thing is I was waiting to tell her about me as well and now I don't know when to say that I'm pregnant when she's going through this.
Also, when I had my mmc I was at the same gestation as her and not long after a friend of ours lost her baby boy at 17 weeks. I will be 17 weeks on Thursday and it's freaking me out that history will repeat itself.
Bbb it’s hard to know what exactly to say, but you’ve been there through it, so you can help her with words, so many hugs to you! We all have that fear! ❤️ just pray and pray and pray and trust in the lord, he always provides.

Bbb, late last year I lost a baby at almost 18w. I know how u feel. My baby was due monday just gone and I was 17+6 on monday and was 17+5 when I lost him (what are the odds!). To say the last few weeks have been horrible is an understatement. I totally get your anxiety. I've been convinced history would repeat itself (I still am!)
I'm so sorry your friend is going through this also. You can truly understand how she feels and so may be the only one to really offer her comfort. I had that with a girl who is a virtual friend I met on a miscarriage group a few years ago. She lost a baby at 15w and has been a source of strength and comfort to me these past 5 months. Others who haven't gone through it just don't get it and serve to irritate and upset me (although unintentionally)
You being pregnant again and same gestation as she should be will likely upset her but you can offer her the chance to talk to someone who truly gets it- that is priceless.
