Kat: we have lots of free time to do "business" since no kids yet. So totally understand why it is hard to maintain eod. It is even hard for me to maintain but we have come so far to stop now as others said. Just dtd to help dh release and keep them healthy and you are golden for go time. When is your usual O day?

Shinay, usually I'm 12 days, but it can go to 14. So AF should arrive today/tomorrow... I took a FRER and it's so faint, I can't even get it on camera. The lines haven't darkened since 9dpo, so I'm guessing that's a chemical this cycle. Bummer!

I would think with your naturally girl body and your diet and dh stress and clomid all playing together it still wouldn't hurt to have a second attempt. But who am I to talk I had wayyy to many attempts and will probably end up with a boy! Not that I wouldn't be just as happy

Max- doctor's typically say to BD on CD10 and that's total crap! To make sure you don't miss O, you are going to need to BD E4D or BD E3D. I would also use opks but know that they will give you a false positive if you test too early. You can start on using opks on CD10 but don't be surprised if it's pretty dark. You should get one later when it's truly O time. I recommend using ICs or the pink CBDs. Do not use the purple advanced CBDs. You must BD E4D at minimum to not miss O. I cannot stress this enough! Clomid will make your CM non existent. You may need to use a tiny bit of lube to make BDing comfortable. Don't be surprised if you O when you normally would or a little later. Taking Clomid on CD5-9 doesn't typically bring O forward much, if at all. My RE had me take it CD3-7 and it didn't make my O earlier. Only when I took it CD2-6 did it move my O date forward. Everyone is different though. Atomic, myself, and plenty of other ladies that have taken Clomid can help you! Don't hesitate to start a new thread, if/when you have questions!

But who knows when that would change. 3 attempts at O will work out great. am bd is kinda hard to squeeze in as well (at least for me). Now I need to really think through if I'm going to tell DH or not. Leaning towards yes b/c I hate secrets and I know I'll end up with twins if I don't tell him (which as cute as that sounds, would SO not be good for us, and I'm not sure my body could support a twin pregnancy for real!)...
The reason for a false positive opk early, is Clomid increases FSH and LH hormones causing a positive opk to occur. The guidelines for using opks are to start testing 5-7 days after you take your last Clomid pill. That doesn't mean you will get a positive opk then, that is when you can start testing. I always got my positive opk 5 days after taking my last Clomid dose. You want to keep BDing until then and even a few days after your positive opk in case you didn't respond to the Clomid. It can take a cycle or two for you to respond to it. It took me one cycle but everyone is different.

The risk of twins is low. Clomid only increases twin rates by 13%.

I'm actually surprised he's prescribed it without any testing first? As in your amh, fsh and lh... speaking of which has he given you bw requests to get these tested on cd3? Totally agree with xxforhubby!! Start bding cd10 and follow and e3d or e4d pattern. Then you can decide whether to add an attempt at pos opk. Also is he checking progesterone 7 days after o? I know for one of my clomid cycles my result was like 170 compared to the 38's I was getting on others so I definately oed more than one egg that cycle 😮 still didn't help me catch even one though at the time 😂
@xxforhubby I'm curious as to why you said don't use the advanced digi with clomid? Just because as far as I was aware its the only opk that can be used as normal with clomid. For others you need to wait at least 4 days after last pill to start using (which you said :) )
Katt don't stress! Just dtd tonight. Probably best not to push dh too much as he may backflip over the pressure of 'having' to perform.... when you get your pos opk, keep it quiet and initiate bding yourself. For the second and third (if there is one) attempts maybe initiate things by doing something to get him 'ready' and past the point of return iykwim... I really think apparent 'spontaneity' or mixing it up can help dh through the 3 attempt process. *sigh, like we women don't have enough to do already 😂😂

Max- My last Clomid cycle was Dec. 5th. The cycle I conceived this baby was on Dec. 25th. Even though I didn't take Clomid that cycle, it was still in my system (it takes 30-60 days to fully be cleared in your body).
Pbn3- my RE told me the advanced CBDs don't work as well for most people on Clomid cycles, because Clomid increases all hormones (not as much for estrogen). Often people don't get a peak despite having an otherwise pos opk. That was my experience. The only cycle I got a peak using them was the cycle I didn't take Clomid. However, I got positives on Wondos and the pink CBDs in and off my Clomid cycles.

Thanks ladies! I'm 3DPO today but my temp dropped this morning but I was up quite a bit last night and slept with the window open so I am thinking that's why.
This was my OPK on Sunday when we DTD and it was a pretty blaring positive so FX this is my girl (or boy)!!

That is a big fallback rise but normally a disrupted sleep will heighten your temp rather than lower. The open window could have been a factor if you normally sleep with it closed?? Also possible mouth breathing prior to waking up. If this cycle doesn't pan out can I recommend you switch to vaginal temping next cycle? It's far more accurate and you don't have to worry about environmental factors affecting your temp :)
