UK SMOG Wannabes June

I feel your pain with the school runs Babymad! This morning I made the mistake of getting the boys ready and leaving the baby until last. I fed her and we were ready to go at half 8 and then she projectile vomited it over us both and the sofa - we both needed a complete change of clothes (and nothing fits me!) then I had to feed her again. We were so late! I had another mum bring the oldest two home today because she wanted to bring her little girl to meet the baby - I was in a good mood all day knowing I wouldn't have to do the school run! She's offered to do it more regularly for me but I'd feel bad taking her up on that offer for some reason. Still, she's having the boys for tea on Monday after school (the biggest 2 anyway!) so she's officially my favourite person at the moment.

I think bubba wants to go to bed now so we'll be off upstairs for boob and sleep :D Night!

Z, I've had a ton of mums chap the door before school and offer to take the boys to school,which is FAB!!!! My dh is home by 2pm each day, so someone can collect them.

Trying to catch up with all the posts from the different forums, but not getting far! Had an awful past 6wks or so with girls having colic, reflux and constipation. Changed their baby milk a few times and now have baby gaviscon, Fx it works. They were so settled until 6wks old and now at 12wks they are still unsettled. Went to see the GP yest and Changed milk yest and started gaviscon, so please let this work it's such a wee shame! Deaks has been a star and helped by sending a cd of white noise!! AMAZING!!!

I have new found respect for mums of twins, when I was pg, don't think I thought it would be quite as hard, esp since they were so good the 1st 6wks. A first time mum of twins like yourself, what alot to get ur head around! My MIL is my hero now!! She had the same as me, a 9yr old, 5yr old and then twins and my FIL (who I've never met) left her for another woman and bankrupt!! So she did it all alone. She had 3 jobs and 4 kids, so I've always respected her, but even more so now!! Her sister (10yrs older than her) would sit with the kids while she cleaned houses and schools and worked in her dad's green grocers. And I moan that I'm shattered with 4 kids, Dh about and no work until October! shame on me! I struggled yestand had a bit of a 'psycho' episode trying to get to gp appt, my mum was going slow and when I came back from my shape up class the girls weren't ready, so I had 15mins to change and dress them, put 4 kids in the car, park the car and get to my appt!! STRESS!!! My front door jammed at the lock trying to leave and my mum managed to put the sterilising tong in the toaster!!!!! and it melted when she put some bread in it for toast. So not a good day... hence the 'psycho' episode!!

I've felt very lightheaded recently, think I'm exhausted but getting me a bit worried. BP ok wonder if blood count low?? really need to see doc about it, but feel like I've been there alot recently with my wound infection then pains I had internally. Know I should go as I also have a breast abcess which I have cream to treat myself (get them now and then, but alot worse after a pg).

Better go get dressed, one blessing of the school hols....it's 10am and no-one is dresses!!! and no hurry as it's pouring outside and no place to go....well other than buying a new toaster later!!! x

Z ~ Its never ending some days eh! Just when you think you are organised and its all going ok and then chaos erupts!!
I had to take DS2 to his swimming lesson after school yesterday with all 4 kids! They were well behaved but I found it very stressful - probably because I am so bloody tired and irritable! I felt bad that I had done nothing but shout and moan until the minute we got home. Sometimes I just get anxious too which makes me in a bad mood and I take it out on the boys.....
Well done on the BF :) I am very envious of mums who can master it :)

Inglewood ~ Lots of hugs hun, sounds like you've got a lot to deal with at the mo, but remember you are doing a great job and your girls will be easier in time. What are your plans for the school holidays?

I am so envious that you get help with the school runs......I would love a break but not long to go now!!

DH not talking to me as he read my message that I put on our FB Grp.....my fault as I hadn't clicked off the page and he logged on....I snatched the iPad and just screamed that he should get his own FB account as I'm fed up with him using mine!! He obviously thinks I've got something to hide now as I put that I didn't want him reading the pop ups....MEN!!!

Inglewood your doing a great job but defo get to the doctors, could u be anemic? Hope te gavison helps the girls :) god I could use some of that at the min, the heartburn I'm getting is horrible :(

Zanacal I've got all that to come oh joy lol, altho I suppose with her being due at the beginning of the 6week holiday hopefully I'll get into the swing of things before I have to do the school run with a new baby.
I've been quite lucky in a sense as dp still isn't working so I have only had to sort myself and ds1. It's been good having dp around but I really hope he gets on of the jobs he's being interviewed for this week, I'm starting to panic about money now and don't really need that with birth around the corner :S

Kell - wow you are due soon :D You'll be fine!! ohhh I feel a bit guilty regarding afterpains... mine have been practically non-existent. I haven't needed any painkillers or anything afterwards. You never know... you might be lucky too!!

Z - ooh don't feel bad about that mum helping - any help is fantastic! Enjoy! :)

Managed to go to playgroup today and I really need to allow an extra half an hour at least to get bub ready!!! Lovely to get out of the house and see my mum friends.

We're off to get DS3 tongue tie cut tomorrow. Am hoping that it makes BFing a little easier - my poor cracked left nipple :P It helped with DS1 so fingers crossed.

Anyway I need to get to bed while DS3 is actually quiet for a bit!

Babymad I'm glad your enjoying little bubs. It can be really hard getting out the door. I just lower my standards. They are rock bottom right now. I try really hard not to snap at my kids but some days I do and I just have to apologise. Ds1 was stroking my face and got my teddy last week as I was shattered. I realised he shouldn't be doing that as it's my job but sometimes it gets on top of you. Were all just human.

Mil will be here again soon. She has graced us with her presence for just six weeks as she said she felt she wouldn't be welcome for her normal eight weeks. Omg that woman has a thicker skin than a rhino! After last year and me shouting and swearing in front of the kids to get out of my f...ing house let's see what this visit brings. I am going to try to agree with everything she says and play the idiot as that's how she sees me. Unless she starts telling me to stop breast feeding and start weaning! Ah the great good old advice 'I was giving my baby's mashed up dinners at six weeks' and 'your gran put wiskey in your dads bottle at night' I love that advice. Shame there's a child protection act these days or I too would give the baby some vodka to settle him at night.

That is so cute of your ds, what a sweetheart! Can't believe your mil is coming again for so long. I had my mil here a couple of weeks ago for about 4 days and it nearly drove me insane. You are made of stronger stuff than me! Really hope it goes better this time.

Pinga- I got ds2's tongue tie done and it did really help with the feeding. I did think it would be instant but it took about 7-10 days for him to relearn how to feed and then it was perfect.

Babymad ((hugs)), you are dealing with a lot at the moment, don't be too hard on yourself. You are doing a brilliant job and being irritable and cross etc is totally normal and expected, we have all been there :HH:

Babymad ~ i’m sorry you’re feeling tired and stressed.. it’s only natural so soon after having had a baby.. My baby is 6 months next week and i’m still tired and stressed constantly lol it just never ends for me haha. I love the pictures on fb, your little baby boy is so cute! You have such a beautiful family!

Zanacal ~ love the pictures on fb!! I too am a fifty shades fanatic! I love the books! I’ve read the first 2 in the series and I’m about to start the 3rd book tonight. I think it’s one of them book series you either love or hate :)

I have a boy’s mama on fb who has announced she’s pregnant again this morning and the gender comments have already started rolling in. It makes me feel so angry thinking how inconsiderate people are..

AFM I have poorly boys in my house today.. probably something viral again, so i’m taking the opportunity to do some serious tidying while we’re all cooped up in the house. I’m looking forward to the meet up in august! I really can’t wait! :)
My mum is coming over from Sweden to visit us next week, I have missed her so much and can’t wait to get some help with the kids and the house for a few weeks since my PIL’s are useless at helping out.

Big waves to anyone one I’ve missed to mention, hope you’re all doing ok! I can’t believe how many babies are due soon!! Seems all your pregnancies flew by :)

Sunset - I think mil is a bit insane lol! I met dh when was 16 and I think she has had a problem with me. I'm not her type of person. I am going to try to keep myself to my myself and bite my lip. Last year she said she doesn't like me having people in my house (sister, best friend etc) and she doesnt like me talking to people (what??!!) I have taken her to my friends and toddler groups in the past but never again!!I don't even want her to come on the school run as she has a face like slapped bum when I talk to the other mums. Save is being baptised while she is here. God help me - how do I ignore my family and friends there? Also she keeps on banging on about how crap my marriage is. Dh says he loves me all the time so if she does that again this year I'm going to play up to it and tell her I didn't realise he had told her that am I'm leaving him. Then take the kids to my mums. She does that a lot. Told dh that his dad feels he has alienated his dad. Dh asked his dad and she had made it up! There divorced and nor even in contact! I could on and on. I'm dreading it. Everything I do she finds fault with.

Sunset I feel your pain with the speech issues. Our waiting list is a year long here. I'm going private if school also thinks there is a problem.
