Hi everyone. I haven't been on much lately as we were on holiday at dhs cousins up in the north of Scotland. The signal up there is terrible. Lol.
Well I had a lot of pain on the Friday before we left for our holidays. I was convinced it was another miscarriage. We went straight to a and e. They couldn't really do much but their tests said I was still pregnant but there was blood in my urine. I was so sure I would wake up to blood but I didn't. I've still had no blood :) and my hcg is still high. I'm getting a scan on Thursday and hoping they see a healthy sticky beans.

Lyngostar, glad to hear all is well.
Blessedmomma..enjoy your vacation. .am sure everything will be ok
As for me, I'm so ready for ds to go back to school. Being a sahm and now being pregnant, plus packing to move houses, its soooo exhaisting. Ugghh. Plus I have such a food aversion rogjt now that I just don't wanna cook even though I'm hungry
My next scan is on Aug 27th..I'll be 13 weeks...can't wait ♡

Lyngo if the blood is in your urine, it could be something like an urinary track infection or kidney stones maybe? Specially if you're having side pain. Hope all is well.
For me, I got impatient and have tried my doppler the last few days, nothing, which I know likely means nothing. All my loses have been before week 8 so I guess I'm just scared and hoping for that confirmation. My first loss was missed, and it was so horrible to expect to get to see the baby at that first ultrasound and find out I'd been carrying a dead baby for almost 3 weeks. This time we did see a heart beat at 6 weeks, but then if my missed loss was measuring 8 weeks, that baby likely had a beat too before it was lost.

Thanks unwirklich. I will ask next time I'm at the early pregnancy unit. I think at the time we all just thought the blood was the start of a miscarriage so didn't really look in to it coming from anywhere else. It wasn't blood we could see. It must have showed up in the test.
Oh that must have been horrible to have that at you 1st scan. Are you getting anymore scans before 12 weeks? I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and I'm glad I'm getting a scan just to make sure everything is ok. I would hate to get to 12 weeks and then discover that the pain I had was something going wrong.

I've been nervous and trying the Doppler too Unwirl. Nothing yet and I am right along the same EDD as you. I think it's a tad early. But I am nervous about a missed miscarriage too (we had one in 2010). Hopefully all is well in both our bellies :)

I've thought about buying a Doppler but I think I would worry myself sick if I couldn't find the heartbeat. When can you start using it?

How far along you you ladies? An old coworker of mine gave me her doppler when we were pregnant last time. It's a pretty good one I think too. I tried a couple of times pretty early around 7 and 8 weeks, but the battery light was on too, so I didn't worry too much when I couldn't find anything. We finally got new batteries for it over the weekend and heard the heartbeat when I was 9w5d. Of course that was the same day I had that bleeding and then couldn't find it at all that same evening which terrified me, but have now since found it each morning since then. I've heard 10 weeks is fairly promising that you can find something, which seems to be accurate for me. The one she gave me retails for $350, but you can rent them for much less, which might be worth it to you ladies. Or I've heard there are some for sale for as little as $30, but I just don't know how accurate they can be at that price, ya know? With our last pregnancy, I would listen for her almost every night until I was to the point that I could feel her moving instead. I have a feeling I'll be doing the same with this one - it just gives me a little peace of mind.

I'm definitely finding out! I can do an early scan at 17 weeks for $100. I'm debating on whether or not I'm going to do that. I don't want to risk any disappointments early on should it be another boy. At the same time, I would at least get to know. I'm on the fence about it. They are checking for the heartbeat the next time I go. That makes me SO NERVOUS with all the if it's above 150 that means a girl and if below that it means a boy. I'm so nervous about hearing what it is...

MamaLuv, if you google heartbeat and gender, you'll find more women that had the opposite of that than those who that was right for, so I wouldn't put much stock into it. Supposedly so much of it also depends on when you hear it too because the heartbeat is supposedly faster earlier on and then settles down further into the pregnancy. Of course saying all that, it was true for my last pregnancy, but hoping it's not always true because when I counted myself the other day, baby's heartbeat was 165 and we're hoping boy.
