Hii ladies... today is the day... m gonna find out baby's gender...wish me luck.😍😍
DD 👯(17mos) , 💫baby due in july 2017
I haven't been around for a while...I'm 25 weeks now and everything is still going great. After passing the gestational diabetes diagnostic test, I called and finally switched providers to the midwife team that delivers at another hospital. My first appointment with them is at 29 weeks. We'll be in Europe for three weeks and our landscape installation starts in two weeks.
I've been slowly acquiring baby gear from other people, and decluttering the baby room is almost complete (just need to transfer data from old external hard drives and scan old papers). We've got all the furniture we want for around the house (but not anything specifically for baby yet). My girlfriends said they might throw a baby shower for me, and I never say no to a good party. :)
The way I see it, if everyone liked the name you chose, then the name would be too popular! And everyone would have the same names! And that's not the case, so most people will have negative reactions to the chosen name. That's just the way it is. :) We are 99% sure our baby boy's first name will be Hunter. Other names I liked are Trevor, Russell, and Charles, but Hunter is on top for various reasons.
Hmm, lots of opposites since I last checked in. I wonder what I will do for my next kid (if we decide to have a second), but I'm too busy to think about that right now. :D
Thanks MrsSparkles, I am slowly feeling better about this baby being a boy. My DS is the most amazing loving cuddly little guy and especially lately makes me realise how lucky I am to have him and that little boys are amazing. Yes I still grieve the loss of a chance to have a DD but this new little guy will be very welcome in our lives. I have started to feel him move in the last few days and that has help me start to bond with him better too. I can't wait to see my two little guys grow up together best buddies.
OMG 2nd time mom....so excited for you. Can't wait to hear results.
Thinking of you 2ndtimemom. Let us know how your US went.
Question- when tummy gets super hard and tight for a short time (1min or less), is that a Braxton hicks contraction? It is not painful, just weird and uncomfortable but very noticeable.
Also how far along were you when you got your first stretch mark. I am 24 weeks and no marks yet but I am still small and have only gained 8 pounds. I am dreading getting stretch marks so just wondering.
Anyone taking a probiotic during pregnancy? Wondering if I should start taking one.
I got stretch marks super early, it's genetic....honestly.
I am using Vitamin E oil, Rosehip Oil, Shea Butter, and nothing works. My Mum got them too, and she was tiny :(
My weight gain now stands at 14lbs in 6 months, so a lot more than you, but I really think it is genes.
If you don't have them now, chances are you won't.
Get the same feeling, on waking up or if I am dehydrated - not sure if it is Braxton Hicks either.
Feels cool though :D
By the way, first antenatal class yesterday.
It was full to capacity, and out of every couple there there is only one girl being born.
All the midwives have said it's like a boy boom.
