Due in December/January/February 2013/14

Soar that would have been scary I couldn't get a hb on the Doppler at 10 weeks but midwife wasn't concerned so I had to wait for my 12 week scan ..

I am a right old mess I knew I would feel sad finding out its my 4 th boy but I havent stopped crying since the afternoon of my scan , I'm to the point ill probably have to get some kind of happy pills that are safe in pregnancy if I keep going :( I love this little boy but if there was a girl twin hiding in there I would be so fricking happy !
Amazingly my all day sickness has subsided thank god although food still tastes not as appealing as before .
Does anyone else feel hungry still but their mouth won't cooperate after a few bites ???

On a happier note movement is quite often already and even hubby felt a ' bump

Grace- ((((((hugs))))) give yourself time it's only been a couple of days since you found out. I imagine if we find that this one is a boy it will take some time to get adjusted to that too. Maybe a little retail therapy would help this weekend? Also sometimes it's nice to just write it out and then see how you feel after a couple of entries. I know it always helps me to get it out thru talking or writing. You are going to be an awesome mom to this sweet little guy and right now you have every right to grieve. It's part of the process. Soar....I am happy to hear that your appt went well, despite the scare...our babies just like to hide out and scare us!!!! Pix would be wonderful to see....I bet you have one cute baby in there!

Myrainbowgirl....I do hope that there is lots of pink in this thread...and all our blue dust can be given to those who are awishing for their little men!

Grace03....I know that despite saying I am good with 3 boys, I know that in the initial days, I will cry. Being honest, I never envisioned myself not having a girl, but as the scan draws near, I know that could be part of my story. But both my boys have been so amazing lately that I know a third would be just another sweet little bundle to love!! I do plan on "coping" with retail therapy....DH knows that he will be out some cash for some new threads if this is indeed our third sone...and way more money if we hear pink!!!

Today's appt....this sweet baby is still playing hide and go seek! Could not hear the heartbeat for a little while, but thankfully s/he did give some steady heartbeats to make this mommy relax. So yesterday night, I stepped on a screw in the shed...I hobbled all day at work and am just relieved to be at home tonight with my feet up! Lucky my tetnus (sp?) shot was up to date!!!

Zebaniee....I do hope for your sake that your little bub ignores Christmas Day as a potential bday! I don't think that staying in the hospital at Christmas could be that much fun....lol, I had my 1 hour glucose test with DS2 on Christmas eve....it was so quiet in the hospital.

Meeks....just a couple of more days for your appt!!! Can't wait to hear all the details!!!

Ladybugs-so sorry to hear about your foot! That had to hurt! You need a pedicure to feel better I think! Glad you heard the HB too! Yay for sneaky babies but geez they could be a little less sneaky for mommies sake, right?!?!

Anyone else having a very strong craving for something all the time? I have been drinking chocolate milk and eating bite size chocolate covered coconut and I just made another batch of brownies! Once the boys go down I find myself unable to control the urge to eat it all! Yikes! Please tell me someone else has a craving as strong as I do!

Also anyone else noticing acne in places other than your face? I have terrible acne on my back. Could this be from the chocolate? I've never had this before? Or maybe my skin is all the sudden allergic to my cocoa butter shower gel? So odd and it really looks terrible. My DH was like do you have a rash on your back? My response "easy there, this is the joys of pregnancy this go around and no it's not a rash!" :-/

Soar....I think that my breakouts are due to the high amount of sugar that I have ingested this time around and just how my hormones are responding. Lol, I craved grapefruit with both boys, but I can't seem to want it this go around....biggest desire on a steady basis has been for bread and butter pickles.

My toes were painted a nice hot pink, and I am thinking that prior to my u/s I will repaint them this cheery hue! My toes right now are so swollen that I can't even feel them :)

Soar - No major cravings so far...chocolate would be awesome!! I love chocolate! Although, weirdly, today at the grocery store I went to pick out an ice cream flavor, and I really, really wanted to try a blueberry cheesecake variety of the brand I always buy. I NEVER buy anything other than some sort of chocolate ice cream or vanilla with chocolate mix-ins. Too funny! Apparently this baby likes fruit!! Oh, and re: acne...I had yucky acne on my upper back before getting pg, and now it seems to be clearing up. Face is slightly better, too, but neither is perfect.

Ladybugs - Glad you got to hear your little sweet pea, and that everything looks good! You're so close to finding out...yay!!! Ugh on your foot! That must hurt terribly! I stepped on a piece of glass that ended up breaking and partially getting stuck in my foot several months ago. It was so painful! Feel better soon.

AFM - I am soooo exhausted. Been that way for a few days now. Don't remember quite being this tired with the others...I know I was tired, but seriously, today I was driving to the grocery store about 12:30 pm (with all my boys in the car!), and I was thinking I better wake up so I can drive safely! OMG, I so want to take a nap every afternoon, but other things have greater priority, and it hasn't happened yet. Speaking of that, I need to go to bed. Lol!

Interesting, I had a craving for cheesecake today while shopping as well!

I noticed I have been reaching for milk and milo/nesquick. It might be a sign I need to eat more cheese and yoghurt for calcium?

I asked about the nub theory during my scan, the lady basically said it was rubbish and if she guessed using the theory nearly all the babies would be girls. She said that it might be around 60% accurate.

I used a photo from my scan. It is quite blurry though as they were only measuring for size so I am not sure how accurate my nub guesses will be.

This is what worries me (stops me getting carried away about all the girl guesses I've had...), to me most nubs look girlie. And if they can keep rising until 13 weeks 5 days (someone wrote that on a post) then it really does leave things as a 'guess' at the time, which could change with a different shot on a different day.
Sometimes, it's really obvious - very up or very down... But personally the inbetweeners have me mainly guessing girl.
That being said, most of my guesses (that I know of so far) have been right.

Grace, I'm sorry to hear you are having a hard time still but don't be too hard on yourself. I can totally relate and even after everything that I'm going through with the risk to bubs I will still cry my eyes out if its a boy! It's a loss of a dream regardless of how much you will love him. Let yourself cry and I agree... Shop shop shop.

Soar, I have a major spot breakout on my back this pregnancy. And I haven't been able to eat sweet things. Having said that I have had lots of carbs and they do the same. It's really gross.

AFM, every day is feeling like a year!

Well after loosing so much on LE I am still not up to the weight I was when I conceived ds 1 and 2, BUT I have gained 2.5kg from the weight I was when I ovulated! Bit scared of how much I'll gain this time. I am off a lot of foods but not as sick as I was with ds1 and 2, now I have the protein tip for MS that's helped sooo much. With ds1 and 2 I lost 3-4kg in the first trimester due to being so sick, but now I already feel like a muffin top and its totally silly given I'm still my lowest weight in ages. Funny how your body perception changes with loosing weight.

Initially I had horrible skin around the week of my pos preg test but its now cleared up apart from the odd huge spot. With ds1 and 2 I had TERRIBLE skin the whole pregnancy, especially first trimester, like someone else mentioned, like a rash of pimples on my back and also on my chest and face. This time there is very little. Maybe that's LE time working for me and its still coming when I've been eating normal for long enough.

I already have the stupid 'I'm so tired I need a nap' but then at night 'so tired but keep waking up and can't get back to sleep' thing. It's so counter-productive!!

I will definitely post any pics I get on Tuesday. Very excited. Also slightly terrified of something being wrong. So so so glad I don't have to wait til 12 weeks for my first scan, in the past that was fine but after so long ttc I feel like this pregnancy is taking forever and feel like I can't believe it's real, like somebody will say "oh no we got it all wrong, there is nothing in there".

Meeks when you've suffered losses 12 weeks is way too long to wait. I would have gone insane if I hadn't seen baby at 8 weeks like I did and even after that Im still insane lol. Can't wait to see pics of your little jelly bean!!

We had our family reunion yesterday and told everyone we are pregnant! Everyone was surprised and gave the token comment "it better be a girl! Are you guys hoping for a girl? What will you do with 3 boys?

So we are for sure NOT posting on fb that we are expecting! Those comments really make me so mad. Obviously no one knows we swayed but geez people! Anyway that was my Saturday. I'm glad they know but the comments burned a whole in the excitement a little.

Soar....that is one reason I refuse to make this pregnancy public via FB. I already get that when others find out there is baby #3 on the way. Gender is all people want to know, thus another reason for my secret gender scan....I get to deal before the comments can be made in specific to this baby.

Meeks....your scan is almost here!! Have a fun visit..and post the pix!!

I agree we haven't posted on FB either. We are telling people as and when we see them. It still hasn't stopped the thoughtless comments though -" what are you going to call your third son ha ha ha!?" Bloody hilarious, not.

Charlee posted really nice on fb I can't remember exact wording but basically said what I plan to post: We are happy to announce we are expecting a new addition to our family, and before the gender comments ensue, yes we will be finding out, no we don't care if its a boy or girl, we'll either have a princess in the family or be starting our own footy team.

I thought that was a nice way of announcing without allowing any gender comments.

And Emily.....my FIL said that same douchey comment! But I just laughed it off, knowing that we are choosing to keep the gender of this baby a secret for a while!!

Omg almost had a heart attack last night, all fine now but since I am having a 7 week ultrasound Tuesday and often this involves the ghastly internal ultrasound, I thought I needed to do some landscaping 'down there'. To be honest it's winter here and I was depressed on clomid & LE and haven't maintained things to my usual standard. In other words it was feral down there.

I didn't have any wax left and of course i left it to the last minute so I shaved. Must have cut myself. Went to the toilet after and wiped, and there was bright red blood! After our conversations on brown being fine but bright red not, I panicked.

Called dh in and had to ask him to look where it was coming from, which resulted in a hilarious looking scene with me on the bed with both legs in the air and him rummaging around down there trying to 'find the bleeder'. Lol lol lol. Thankfully the kids were in bed.

So he confirms its fine just a cut then is all excited like something is going to happen and I jump up, pull up my pants and am in no mood for anything after that scare!!! Poor dh.

Oh Meeks....I could laugh and cry at your story!!! And tsk tsk on your Dh....isn't it funny how they get aroused at the moment that you just want to shut down shop due to a scare.

In his defence I was kind of waving a freshly shaven va j j in his face. Bahhahahaa

I am up a full 2 cup sizes on the (.)(.) front to my hubby's delight, but even though I kept some bras from my heavier days, they are bursting full. It makes me so determined to lose all the weight and then some once my baby is here!!!

Meeks, hilarious! Horrid little scare though.
Oh, and hopefully this will be of no relevance to you, or anyone... but bright red bleeding doesn't necessarily mean a problem, so long as not heavy and accompanied by cramps.

I have not been on for a while hitting my 17th week of pregnancy on Tuesday! It's going by so fast. Just wanted too see if Any has found out what they are having yet?? I have my big scan on the 22nd of July I will be 20 weeks, but we won't being finding out gender.

OMG Meeks... This was so funny I spat out my tea! Hahahaha :) funnily enough I was just thinking the other day I was giving the gruffalo a run for his money in the old downstairs department and should really sort that out! Maybe ill wait a bit longer... Don't want to excite DH either! Noooo way.

Not heard anything from the hospital :( I rung them and got fobbed off with a grumpy woman who clearly didn't have a clue what i was talking about let alone the authority to divulge information. She basically said I need to wait as the information was not to hand and even if it was she was not at liberty to tell me! It's all very well for her to stand on her high horse but its not her who might have a child with a genetic problem!! I'm so angry... I've gone from being upset to ready to kill the next person who crosses me. This is my life they are messing with here. It's hardly trivial.

DH thinks that no news is good news! Maybe he is right?? I have to think positive! On the upside I have a midwife appointment on Friday so I should def know by then!

Can your midwife call on behalf of you? I would be as angry as a wasp as well!! I know how our system is....it makes me so frustrated, but usually no news is good news. My MD is quite sweet the last time around with the scan, I got a call from her personally :)

Yes 3boys do ask your midwife to ring- at least it will stop you having to deal with mrs jobsworth again. You are totally right to feel angry at the way she spoke to you. - if we could we'd all give her a mouthful for you!

Meeks - OMG, LOL, LOL!!!!! Your post just made my morning. And your DH!! That is exactly what my DH would do! Oh goodness. So glad everything's ok! Good luck at your scan tomorrow...woohoo!!!

Ladybugs - Oooh, so jealous of your (.)(.). Mine are sooo tiny. Granted, I was still nursing when I got pg, but decided to be done about a week after o. By now, all the milk is gone and they are so sad. I take comfort that they will grow as the pregnancy progresses, but right now, yuck!!

Soar - Ugh on all the gender comments. I plan to wait awhile to announce that we are even pg. I live 1700 miles away from my hometown/family. If there's a way I can find out early (MaterniT21 or an early scan), I will wait until we know gender...that way, no pressure. On my side of the family, there are currently 9 grandkids...8 boys, 1 girl. So, I know my mom & dad would love another granddaughter. Not only does that make logical sense, they made it clear in my last 2 pregnancies! With DS2, it was too much. I told them after the fact how hard it was to hear the comments and feel the pressure, so they were more respectful with DS3. But, I still heard a comment here or there. We hadn't really even told them we were going to try for another, and with my history of it taking forever to get pg, they will be shocked that we are pg! I also like Ladybugs' idea of telling everyone we're pg, but not telling gender till we're good and ready!

Emily - what a terrible comment. People are soooo insensitive!! NOT looking forward to comments this go round. That's another big appeal to waiting to tell. I know I won't be able to wait too long to tell my DH's family (they're here and will see my belly!), but hope to hold out as long as possible.

AFM - I am exhausted and nauseous. Yuck. But YAY! It means I'm pg! Lol. :)

Hope everyones scans go well in the coming days! I'm not going to lie, I'm getting a little concerned with my growth - I seriously feel like my stomach hasn't grown in 4 weeks and I definitely don't feel much movement, if any at all - I sometimes have the odd thing, but it could be gas as I remember after ds2 sometimes feeling things that felt just like early pregnancy movements. With DS1 & DS2 I felt things constantly from 11 weeks.. even though DS2 was an anterior placenta. Oh well, not stressing or anything and I have an OB appt. on thursday. I heard the HB at 12 weeks and now I'm 16+ so it has been awhile.. I guess I wouldn't be shocked if they said something happened.. I just seriously don't feel preggo.. am I the only one?

3boys - I know for me with DS2 I had an ultrasound on a thursday morning and I didn't get a call until Monday afternoon around 4 for them to tell me they found something that could indicated a trisomy. I was shocked it took so long to hear something and I'd assume either way they would give you your results because you'd think there'd be a note on your file saying the ultrasound showed a potential concern.. but ever system is so different so who knows - it'd just be nice for you to hear something!!! fx you get a call very soon!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you are feeling good! In my 12th week and now I am only dry heaving every other day! Progress is delightful in the MS dept!

Just quickly here is my scan, great heartbeat and bubs appeared to have come from the left ovary, however she couldn't FIND the left ovary, only the right one which defiantly didn't ovulate so it must have come from somewhere, lol.

Only one baby!

On the screen using internal ultrasound the baby blob was on the left of the screen if I was facing the screen. Ramzi theorists feel free to predict, I have no idea of this theory!!!Attachment 12163

Meeks.....I am not much help with Ramzi, but congrats your little bean being in "her" place!!!

Yay Meeks!! Just logged on to see if you've had your scan yet!! Im so excited to see a perfect little bean in there. And great to hear "she" had a good strong heart beat. Massive milestone done and dusted!! Well done x (ps Im useless with ramzi's method, but keen to hear what others say!)

That's fantastic Meeks! Bet you were relieved to hear that all was well with baby. Was she measuring according to your dates okay? I don't know anything about Ramzi, sorry. It's wonderful news to wake up to like Gecon said!
