It's not so much the fact that I won't ever have a girl that's bothering me.. it's family saying "oh, you poor thing" like having three boys is a bad thing? Ugh.

I totally agree with you! I mean I have always been vocal about my desire to be an only boy mom, and they still say this to me! I tell them that laughingly that I don't view having all boys as a disability, and I'm super excited to have another baby to snuggle with! That always makes them stop and congratulate me!
People!

I've always loved being a boy mom! Having a healthy child is a blessing, like I've said all along. That's all that matters!

I'm so glad that you aren't disappointed. I know he will be exactly the person who was meant to join your family. I think the peanut gallery comments are always the most annoying part of any of this whole process. Boys are great, and while I prayed for a girl, it was never because I don't love boys. I'm just one of those people who likes variety- I could never choose between my dog or my cat, lol, but I was unhappy until I had one of each.
Congratulations on your healthy baby boy!
What really bugs me too is my MIL isn't posting about this little guy like she did for my two SIL'S girls. It's like she's not excited what so ever. Kind of sad, you need to have different gender children to get any excitement out of DH'S family. I just need to unplug and stop caring about what other people think. I'm excited about my baby boy, that's all that matters.

Barf, are we sure you and I don't have the same MIL? ;)
After seeing people struggle to conceive at all or who have children with disabilities I feel so grateful to even be having a baby at all. People who think less of the pregnancy because it's "another" boy or girl are very narrow minded. Whilst I wanted a girl before I found out the gender I always thought I'm lucky to be pregnant, a healthy baby is a bonus and gender really is not really relevant compared to those 2 things.
I think if you can help it is not to tell people you tried for a girl, or had a preference at all. If they think you're happy with the outcome that might shut them up. When I was younger ( and so silly ) I used to comment on gender. It didn't mean much to me at the time, I was genuinely curious if people wanted a girl or boy. Now I cringe when people say similar things to me.
No idea why your MIL is posting about one gender only. I thought as a grandmother there would not be a preference... Weird.. Very weird

I'm so sorry you have to go through that Seabee and Fivebabies! I am surprised that a grandma to these babies would be that way! It makes me sad! Babies are so sweet to snuggle, it's fun getting to know them, and I love the challenge to try and see what will make them belly laugh for the first time!! Why can't people see that they are special regardless of gender?
Hang in there ladies!

Anyone else experiencing Braxton Hicks? I've been getting them since early pregnancy and now they cause such pain to radiate in my back! I'm going back to the workouts I used to do that works my core say to see if that helps. Sheesh! I feel like when go time comes, he'll fall out, lol!! I did have 6hours or less labors with my other two boys, so we will see!
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
I think my biggest mistake was saying "I'd like to have a girl to even out the ratio a little". I've always said I would be happy with another boy too. But still, people feel bad for me. I'm sure once he's here everyone will shut up.

Hey Xx, I'm not having Braxton Hicks but then again I never have and I have pretty long labors [emoji16]

I can't believe we are just over half way there!! Seriously, this morning I thought I was going to miscarry it was so bad! They always stop after I have 4-5. I think my bladder must get too full but then the same thing can happen later in the day too. Ugh!
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
I would definitely question the dr about it XX! Did you get them that bad last 2 times?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I didn't get them with DS1 until closer to giving birth. With DS2, I would get them with a full bladder and during growth spurts.
I did mention it at my 12 week appointment and was told it is totally normal as long they don't go past 6 in an hour or have any spotting. Sooo, I just deal with it! I've tried a bath, drinking water, and resting. They seem to stop when they want to! I know they are going to stop when I feel him move.
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
I'm just worried this guy will come too fast! Both boys were 6 hours or less! I feel as much as my uterus has been practicing, this little guy may just fall out, lol!
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
Lol XX! Let's hope not! Both my boys came within 4 hours of arriving at the hospital. Have you seen the YouTube video of the lady giving birth in the car?! My nightmare!
Me too!! I worry about it happening when DS1 is needing to be picked up from school, and I am alone with DS2. My DH works 20min away, but he is a school principal and can't always leave at the drop of a hat.
One thing is for certain- it will be interesting!
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
I'm sorry you didn't hear girl seabee. The comments can be quite rough, aren't they? When I told people I am pregnant again almost everyone said now it 'must' be a girl. It would have broken my heart if it was a boy. Feels like they reject my other boys though they probably dont mean that.
Hang in there and I agree that if you say you wanted a boy people will shut up
Sorry to hear about your braxton hicks xx. Hope it eases up for you
I was told by my OB that between 20-29 weeks that it is common to get frequent uterine contractions since the uterus is going through its final growth spurt and to prepare for childbirth.
He told me to avoid exercise when I'm having them even though it is rare for them to progress into labor. I just don't remember this with my other two boys. So I'm following directions. Hopefully they stop soon!
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
Hey Sunbuny, what did you do for your cardio exercise? I'm trying to decide what is feasible for me to do once this little guy is here and I'm caring for DS2 too.
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
Hi XX, I did alot of cross training and fast paced walking either on a treadmill or just around the neighborhood.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks! I'm thinking I'll only be able to walk the neighborhood wearing little man and taking DS2 to play at a park. And PiYo (Pilates and yoga hybrid) after my 1 hour walks.
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
That's plenty.. Especially with 2 children. I never used to exercise with my kids (although they were older and heavier). I used to wake up really early and get the workout out of the way for the day. It's the only way I found I stuck to the routine.

I hear ya! I get so stir crazy nursing such a little one so I like to get out of the house with them. Plus, DS2 likes to go to parks and play- win win! Then if I want to do PiYo when DS2 naps, I can.
I need my sleep so getting up early won't happen since I'll probably still have a middle of the night nursing session or two [emoji6].
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
Fair enough.... I didn't start the early morning exercise till DS2 was about 15 months. I wish I was exercising still now but my gym membership expired and it's winter here so very cold and dark in the mornings... And nearly dark by the time I get home. I need to start exercising walking again when the weather warms up. I have put on so much weight [emoji15][emoji16]

Really? Oh, yeah I forgot you were in Australia [emoji6]. I'm sorry about the weight gain. I'm worrying I've gained too little- only 12-14 lbs so far at 21 weeks! I was this weight around 12-16 weeks with my other two boys! Luckily I only gain 25lbs, but I think I'll be lucky to get to 20lbs with this guy!
I do still workout but only cardio (walking fast with a heavy double stroller) since the cramping/Braxton Hicks started. Once they stop, I'll go back to my T25 and Gamma workouts. I'm a SAHM, so I can workout when DS2 naps. If I were teaching like I was when pregnant with DS2, I wouldn't be able to workout.
You'll be able to get it off afterward! Just think about you're precious baby girl right now and all the cute stuff she can wear before she gets too big [emoji4]!!
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
I think that's a fine amount to have gained XX. I've actually lost weight since pre pregnancy. I did the same thing last baby. I gained 2.6 lbs total last time. Lol.
I need to start walking at least. :(
Is it normal to have recurring tummy bugs? I keep having bouts of tummy ache and diarreah.it might be my ibs flaring up.but this morning I had it and I have felt lousy all day.
<a href="http://lmtm.lilypie.com/A7Nop3. png" /a>
Not tummy bugs but diarrhea is a common early pregnancy symptom. I had bouts of diarrhea from right when I got a positive test up until 14 weeks!
Hang in there!!
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
I'm 16 weeks now though.just sick of feeling crap.
<a href="http://lmtm.lilypie.com/A7Nop3. png" /a>
I've decided that being pregnant is miserable all around. Lol. I used to love the second and third trimesters but it seems like I'll always be uncomfortable in some way.
It can get you really down can't it?
<a href="http://lmtm.lilypie.com/A7Nop3. png" /a>
Xx, I think that weight gain so far is fine. I only gained 10 kgs with my first baby (22 pounds). I think my weight gain this time because I've gone off the LE diet and stopped the extreme exercise. I hope I lose it.. I loved how I looked pre pregnancy this time around. It's my fault for giving in to each and everyone of my very naughty cravings [emoji14]
I know... I'm so excited for our 3rd child and can't wait to meet, cuddle and yes, dress our little girl [emoji7]
Sorry to hear that you're still feeling sick Eleena and Fivebabies [emoji22]

Hi everyone! So quiet in here. How is everybody doing?

I'm good. Starting to feel better. Think I'm turning a corner. Ate breakfast this morning and boy was that a mistake. I can't do breakfast.
I have my ultrasound on Wednesday. Still nervous. Just want it over with. But very excited to see baby!! I haven't had one since I was only 8 weeks along. :)
I'm becoming pretty depressed. I'm not liking the fact I can't work out. I was so happy and confident when I was working out 3 days a week, now I am restricted to walking and I feel so out of shape and tired all the time. I hope my placenta moves up and my subchorionic hematoma is healed by my 18 week ultrasound, because I'm over it!

I'm feeling depressed. I always seem to have something wrong with me.upset tummy last week. Now I have to get in to see a dentist tomorrow as I think i have an absess which I am dreading because I haven't been to a dentist since I was about 7 years old!
<a href="http://lmtm.lilypie.com/A7Nop3. png" /a>
I hope you ladies can feel better soon! I can't wait to see more pics of your cute babies [emoji4]!!
AFM- I only get Braxton Hicks contractions twice a day now instead of all day- morning then evening. I can't believe I only have 18 weeks and 3 days to go until I meet this little guy!!
[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
Heard heartbeat today.151 bpm.
I have only put on about 2 lb but midwife didn't seem concerned

Has anyone else been having awful, violent, scary dreams?! I swear mine keep getting worse. Last night I dreamt that I got an abortion (which btw, I'm VERY much against). I remember feeling awful after it happened, and later in the dream the baby came out and wasn't alive. He was the size a baby would be at birth. Now I'm completely paranoid something bad is going to happen. Ugh I'm so over these pregnancy dreams. I NEVER dreamt like this with my two boys!
