I just had my first midwife appt and finally got the results form my u/s a couple of weeks ago. All was well with the baby so far - he or she was measuring 2 days ahead and had a heart rate of 175. They said I have a small corpus luteum cyst on my left ovary, which is nothing to worry about and just means I ovulated on that side recently. I'm hoping this means I ovulated on the left this most recent time since that could be a good girly sign (and I know this is just an old wives' tale - don't worry - I won't get my hopes up too much based on this).
Anyway, as I was researching these cysts I found this:
"Very rarely, the corpus luteum may form a cyst. A corpus luteum cyst will cause BBTs to stay elevated and prevent menstruation from occurring until it resolves, which could take weeks or months."

The doctor appointment is very early-arse in the morning so I'll keep you all posted with what she says...
All I can say is something IS just so odd because, except for nausea, I've had pregnancy-like symptoms, with bloating, and cramping, twinging, etcetera. For weeks now! Like I said some days ago, I'm really fed up. I just want to know what's going on... or, er, not going on.
I really hope you get a solid answer tomorrow, suregena. Who knows? Maybe you'll find out you have a perfectly healthy bean in there :fx:.

So, I am gonna start testing in one week, next wednesday the 29th. I should be 11-12dpo. I don't wanna test before that cause I don't wanna see the bfn's. I am using First Response. Will test Wednes, Thurs, & Fri. My af is due next Friday, Saturday morning latest so....if it comes out negative on Wednes. I will be a little upset knowing af is due in 2 days and still no bfp. I am praying it is positive b/c I am sooo happy with my sway this month and can't wait to eat again.
I had a strong ovulation so I am hoping that is a good thing. And I have to say, at 6dpo I am sooo bloated. Like hard to button my pants bloated. Don't understand why. I felt so bloated and fat when I got up this morning (which I am so not, my mother just told me today she thinks I am too thin) that I got on the scale to see if I gained weight. Nope, even lost another pound! But my lower belly feels so big I need to wear baggy shirts to cover it. I hope that is a sign that I am pregnant. Otherwise I have no idea why I would be. I have the body shape where my stomach is always so flat - even after 3 kids and 3 c-sections. Thank god. I am also not the kinda person who gets bloated or cramps before af comes. The morning af comes, but not before. Part of me feels its too early to feel pregger's, it would not even be totally implanted yet. Who knows.
Cross my fingers. Oh, and I am getting such breakouts -- my skin is usually sooo clear. Its weird. I don't wanna look into things though, but I can't help it.
Prayfoeprincess- I think that's promising. Maybe this is it!! Fingers crosses for you.

Well we ended up BD last night and this morning. Still no +OPK, but I was having O pains and my cervix started getting less soft, so I figured I may as well give it a shot. I am so frustrated that the OPKs didn't work this month, but in the end I had to listen to my body. I didn't get much EWCM at all this month, so that was no help to work out what was going on. It is DS1s b'day today (6). He will be all grown up if I don't get pg soon.

Suregena will still be asleep, so I'll check in later and see how her appt went. Mocha, that was very interesting about the cyst. It would certainly explain some of her symptoms.
mocha , the corpus luteum comes from the side you conceived from.
thats how they know what side you ovulated from when you are pregnant, because all pregnancies have a cyst in that ovary, its what produces the hormones untill the placenta takes over.
BFN for me this morning... 10 dpo but could say maybe 9 dp attempt.. Will test again in the morning.. AF is due on either 28th or 29th so still 5 or 6 days away yet.. Boobs are very sore but that is a af sign for me aswell as preg sign.. other then that nothing else to add to symptoms..
I also didnt jump and dump this time i lay 15 mins each time after and once fell asleep all night! I figured that with diet and clomid i was immediately killing all the sperm?Next time i wont do 9 times leading up to o and just do 2x a day closer because those last few attempts we almost didnt do bcause it was enough!Quote:

Morning ladies, well we made our final attempt last night which i think was around O+21 going off pains and 1st +OPK. Our last 3 attempts were natural instead of splime which i feel nervous about but i went with gut feeling and what is done is done and :fx: we get a BFP and hopefully :pinksperm: gets my egg.
Im just abit confused now with my OPK's, half way through i ran out but my new ones arrived just in time and they are ever so slightly different and now my OPKs have + for 3 days now??!! Making me doubt when i ov'd? We have gotten in 10 attempts but i really need to give DH a rest now.
Im our plan we BD'd through Ov but why do i still feel so nervous about this? even tho i dont believe in timing as DS3 was 4 day cut off.

I MUST be very fertile if this is a real bfp!! We dtd only once after d/h had already released twice before it and also released every day for 10 days Plus we dtd after o and i used a bit of rephresh 24hrs before we dtd.

no well!! this morning i did one with fmu and it was neg but i could of sworn i could see something but i still thought neg... that was 5am anyway tonight 8.30pm took one and bfp but faint.. waited an hr and bfp again so will see how it goes in the morning

Suregena-you never had a +opk did you? I think maybe you never o'd if so and so you arent getting your period. I had to take a med called provera eventually to bring on my period but that wad after months of nit getting it. Maybe AS has some ideas.
