So I got my liver test back (checking for ICP) and that was fine, but from what I read on the internet, I actually need a Bile Acid test. I talked to the doctor about it, and they grudgingly ordered it. Has anyone noticed that doctors really don't like it when you do your own research?
So they ordered the wrong test? What a pain!
I scheduled my u/s for next Wednesday, so :fx: my little girl is still growing well!
Yeah, I saw a different doctor the day I went in (mine was out of town) and I think she is actually a PA, not a doctor? ANyway she just ordered the test that was recommended by the computer (not sure how that works). WHen she called me with the results, I told her I wanted a different test, and she was nice enough to order it--but I could tell she didn't really like me telling her how to do her job. :oops:Quote:

Mocha, that is sad that your dad has died. No matter how long he was sick, it is never easy to deal with.
Hobber, I always tell doctors what I want. You're right, some of them deal with it better than others, but at least you are getting the test you need.
