ELP: You are a lucky girl, I hope I say under 20lb gain since I gained while TTCing. How old is your son that you had to conversation with?
B: Thanks for the confidence, but I guess I just have this fear that they were wrong!!!
2 more days until my scan, if I can just make it through tomorrow then I am home free. It least it will be sunny tomorrow and I can get some yard work done.
Next appt is tomorrow, I'll be 39wks so I may ask them to do a quick stir then. I like the membrane stir because if I'm ready it'll kick start things and if I'm not ready nothing happens.
Fwiw I still fear they were wrong lol

MFC, just checked your scan and I am seeing absolutely no girl clues but I swear theres a few blue clues going on:agree: The first bit of the film (I think) shows the back of baby and the leg bones which may have been confused for flat white nub hints but I'm sure there not! Have you decided whether to get a scan soon??
I am so jealous with all this baby talk!! DH is away for work right now and I text him yesterday about trying earlier. He said we will talk about it when he gets home on thursday. I said I will be ovulating about when he gets home....he said start okp testing next week and we will talk about if we will try or not this month when he gets home....OMG...I am so excited. I will kill him if he gets my hopes up like this and then says that I have to wait till march/april. lol
Cinss...if you see something on the news late next week about a wife stabbing her husband to death on the Gold Coast....he said no!!
Does membrane stripping hurt? I've never had it done but wow, it just sounds painful :oops:

ELP I just love having a 6 year old, aren't they fun? I am not really a baby person ... I mean I adore them when they are here, but I don't really crave babies. I like 4+. I'm scared of 12+ though ...

I am sorry I have been so MIA. I have really been without a consistent home in months traveling and holidays. I am still excited about DD2 and most days really embracing being a girl mom!
Glad to see a few more preggers! Anything changed in the swaying world while I was gone?
Jen: Wow, you could be getting all stretched and in labor right now!!!
B: As far as the cervix stretching, sweeping, stirring, stripping (all the same thing) the doc or midwife sticks their finger tip into your cervix and makes their finger like a hook and just goes around and around to agitate things and if your body is ,ready you could go into labor. I have had mine done with all the children and only 1 time did I go into labor close to that day. 4 of the 6 children I was induced with 1.5-2+ wks over due and the other 2 I was not induced and had on or the day before my due date. Edited to say: Yes it is very uncomfortable, but so is being huge preggo. And normally there is some spotting.
MFC: I still say beautiful boy.
ELP: That age of say whatever and not worry what people think is always soooo cute.
TTC5: When is you next scan, 2 wks did you say?
The weather is nice and I may as well clean out a few chicken coops with the kids....blah :)
HEY LADIES~ I keep meaning to post more in here. I still don't really feel pregnant aside from having to pee a bunch and being a little more tired than usual. And my lower back is killing me. Not like going into labor, just like strained muscles. I read that pregnancy loosens up your back muscles or something? Not sure, but it is sore.
ELP, do your kids really not know there is a baby coming yet?? He's almost here!
3P1B, I have had my membranes stripped with 2 of my babies and didn't even know it! I asked my Dr. to do it during an exam, and he said, "I already did it." So it wasn't painful to me. But I have heard others say it was really uncomfortable.
Princess of Pink, I hope your DH agrees to an attempt this month! Good luck!

WP, do you really clean out chicken coops when you are pregnant? You are tough! No WAY I would do that. I won't even pick up dog poop in the yard!

ELP - I'm going to beg for the sweep today! With dd1 & 3 it did nothing but with dd2 she came 3-4 days later, thats what I'm hoping for :)

B- nope stripping doesn't hurt but is uncomfortable. Basically what WP said :)

ELP - I'm an all natural girl myself, it wasn't until I had pitocin that I got epidurals with #1(after 48 hrs) and #3(after 14hrs). I prefer the natural delivery, painful but so awesome :) 9lbs 8oz?! You better be wrong!
Flava - thanks! ELP isn't as much guessing as tormenting me lol DD1 7lbs 4oz 19inches, DD2 6lbs 15oz 20inches, DD3 7lbs 3oz 21inches.
MFC - 16wks is perfect for gender scan!
Midwife appt went well, I'm 1.5 cm and 70% effaced. She did stir and came back with some blood, she says thats a good sign. I am favorable for induction so that's good, but we are planning to wait it out for a while.

Yes, I do help clean out the chicken coops even when preggo. The kids do most of the bending and reaching and I do all the bucket dumping. It really isn't too bad, everything is pretty clean. We put a ton of pine shavings down, so that is mostly what it is. AND we all wear think leather gloves :)
