I am doing preseed with a big bsf about an hour before. I was thinking ew, but now I just think it's a hassle, and as Begonia reminded me, i didn't have much luck with them last year.

hmmm.... OK , thanks ladies , i will discuss all aspects with DH tonight , although he is not in to swaying but dont stops me .i do believe it was less cal intake which gave me 2 girls , so u r right i should avoid it, oct sounds sooo good , many boys i know conceived in oct.....but definitely cant do in oct :(
if i wud try now im thinking to do BSF only , i tried to put EW but a big failure :(
Just popping in quick to say I had another appt and u/s today. Things look great, I have a fully formed fetus with a strorng heartbeat. She did say that my placenta was high on the left. I've decided I'm not going to care about that, I will not get myself worked up over a theory. Anyway I have another appt next week(13wks) and then again 3 weeks after that (16wks). Hopefully by then I'll be more relaxed and confident.
Oh and I did get pics but no nub shots so nothing to obsess over :)
YAY 3pnb! SO glad to hear all is well! And I agree, disregard the placenta theory.....no need to get all worked up about it.
Timing plan looks excellent! :agree: I would BD tonight and maybe tomorrow during the day, just to make sure you are not missing the egg?
That is very interesting with boy FF charts and BDing every day...hmmm... too bad my DH can't perform every day  ( or should I put crying smilie instead lol! Maybe that is showing that boy's dads are mean machines lol! full of testosterone and more likely to create a boy?
Lola, this is so cool!!!!!! I can't wait to see it on YouTube!!!!!
My DD1 is a little dancer, she is attending *sort of* modern dance classes but I'm leaning toward classical ballet, Idk what to do... Should she continue her classes she LOVES ( but it is more for fun then real dance9 or should I sign her in proper ballet school?
She is very energetic, not subtle at all, would classic ballet be a mistake? Dang, why you live across the ocean, i would love to hear your judgement about her possible tallent (or lack of it lol!) As I understood it, you too are in ballet 'bussiness'?
Yes, I run the ballet company on the biz side. There is an Artistic Director who does all of the ballet stuff, although I do have a lot of input into productions and casting. I've got a staff of 8 and a company of 36 dancers! We tour a good bit too, just around the US though. I would say this about ballet for both little girls AND boys: classical ballet classes are excellent for several reasons aside from the obvious of it being a fun group activity, meeting new friends, and being good exercise. Children learn an acute awareness of the body, and learn to take pride in doing things "precisely" if that makes sense. They learn about music and it helps the brain learns beats and rythym, which in turn creates connections that help with math and science....I am serious! It is a very goal-oriented art form. The other wonderful thing is that it teaches them a tremendous amount of discipline, even at a young age. Classical ballet comes from the "old world" where it was royalty who took classes, and therefore it has a certain demeanor to it, even to this day....where things are done "properly." So, it's like an etiquette class as well, where they learn to be on time, be respectful to others, listen with great care to the teacher, learn to appreciate the music and their bodies for what beauty they can make. Obviously, I can't say enough about it. My oldest daughter is freakishly good at it (to the point where she may need to go to New York someday SOON....they ship off at 12 years old if they are the cream of the crop! I don't know if I can handle that, though....), but both of them absolutely love it and I can see how mature it has made them in so many ways to have ballet a part of their lives since they were 2.
Lola that is super cool about DH's project!
ZB are you going to attempt soon?!?! Have you figured out what you're going to do for timing this go?
Jen I'm so glad you had a great appointment! And I'm with you, no sense fretting about placenta. I think if it was really valid they would be using it all the time, KWIM? But maybe next week you'll get a good nub shot so ZB will get off your back, LOL!
Hmmm, that is an interesting connection there, Z! Well, I get home from work, and what do I see....something I don't see very often, not in many months- EWCM. So it is on! I decided we will dtd tonight and then tomorrow night and just KFX!
You are looking pretty close too, Z! Hope you are having a fabulous time!!!!!
This is totally true ... I read a study re: the math/science thing not too far back. I should see if I can find it.
DD1 won't do ballet as she's 100% committed to never wearing a skirt/dress, LOL. But I'm hoping to get DD2 in a tutu! She for sure could use some discipline :-)
WHOOOO HOOOO for EWCM! Glad Clomid didn't dry you out!
BSN at 10dpo :(
My pg test says only 53% accurate at 10 days, so maybe I should not give up hope and try again at 12 but I am really not feeling pg today. I think maybe I ate something bad the day before yesterday so I felt a bit sick. If not pg I really stuffed up the diet this month so I will have to wait till Oct to try again :sigh: oh well it might be better then less stress.
I love that lola!
not to brag...but I'm gonna!!! DD is in gymnastics! She can already do the splits, a backbend and a somersault and a cartwheel. She is currently working on a front handspring and she basically has it. Her gymnastics place thinks she is some kind of baby prodigy. Of course I smile and nod and I'm gracious but inside I'm like "fuck yeah baby go" My 2 year old is boss!
Hope everyone is having a fantastic day! Kisses!
Iluv don't temp anymore it is not helping you. Even hcg levels are not helpful after 5 weeks. Just keep having u/s as needed and try and distract yourself with other things.
Begonia and 3pink so nice to hear your u/s went well and I agree with your strategy of not finding out. My DH refuses he said: "that might give you the motivation to push it out quicker (both my births took aaagggeeesss)." Begonia your preganancy hormones is what is making you feel up and down, but you will feel great again tomorrow.
Lola apparently male sperm is the best in the morning. Female fertility on the other hand is supposed to be best in the evening. So why not try both! I think we were stuffing around with timing too much this month so next attempt I will be throwing those opks away and just having fun.
Lightofmylife the Oxford study that atomic has in the studies section is very clear a boy conception is most likely IF the mother eats a lot of high nutrient food around the time of ovulation. I am really sorry you find yourself in such an awful position. I am not very religious and not a muslim, so I feel wrong to give you advice about what to do. So maybe talk it through with your DH and either postpone or not do Ramadan. Your glucose levels will also be too low during the day if you are observing it regardless of how much you eat at night.
hmmm yeah just talked to my DH and he is agree with not trying for next 6 months :o , so hopefully in Jan 2012 ,,, actually lil worried about weight , gained a lott , obviously would get more in next 6 months , im not a tall girl so it feels a lott :D , i really wanna b get out of this fat business :p
Lola how nice about your husband you must be so proud of him. Looking forward to that video.
My dd1 also does dancing, we are just doing it for fun tap, jazz and ballet. dd2 is sooo funny she joins in and tries to dance with them we always get in trouble of the teacher as she gets in the kids way but I cant keep her outside she wants to join in.
Anywho got to go now will report at 12 dpo
Wow, y'all have been hopping today! Yay for everybody having good doctor's appointments. Layla, that's still way early, you are sooo not out, fx.
Af was due today and she is a no show. Tests are still bfn and I almost feel like I'm ovulating--cm is up, sex drive is up....I'm wondering if maybe I was so stressed the week of O that I actually stressed myself out of O'ing and now it's delayed. Of course, I haven't been doing my supplements and bsd and all that because I thought I was in the 2ww...so now I don't really know what to do. Hopefully af will just show on up in the next couple of days and I can get this show on the road.
It wasn't scary at all, i just knew it would be a way to increase my chances by a lot and it was well worth it!
Yep i did tell my Dr, well Obstetrician and she said it was a great idea and we basically just did IUI. I said no not quite, it was ICI as you can't put unwashed sperm into the uterus. She was very happy for us, gave me a big kiss on each cheek too. She's the sweetest Dr i've ever known so i'm glad she'll be the one helping me through this pregnancy :)
OurLastChance?Quote:
I know, CBBC did well! I'm going to see who all I can remember ... you add to it if you think of another... but here's who I'm remembering at my 1st try:
WLM: Boy
Wantasonbun: Girl
Maz: Boy (at least going by the last u/s...I keep checking hoping she'll post too, like frogs!)
Frogs: Boy
Dolly: Boy
HOE: Girl
Aqua: Boy
Nutter: Boy
OTW: Girl
HAS321: Boy
So that is 10 total, with 3 girls and 7 boys... a pretty great turn-out I think! Am I missing anyone?
I am on CD10.. Can someone tell me what to do the week of O?
Last 2 cycles I missed O by 1,2 days :(
Begonia, I'm so glad u/s went excellent! :agree: It's so emotional when you hear your baby's heart beat isn't it? Hope it's :xy: you're cookin' in there!!!! FX!!!! :luck:
I totally understand cold feet about the reality of having another baby LOL! Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with me trying so hard to get another one and complicate my life when I already have 2 perfect babies if that makes sense.
You've got me  with looking forward to use 'mommie with 3 kids' smilie.....I thought I was the only one planning things like that :p Do I need to say I've chosen my pregnancy ticker like 3 months ago and can't wait to use it :p
About my timing: I didn't take OPKs with me bcos I'm trying not to obsess as usual  we are having a great time and BD every other day since CD5 and it is all DH's initiative which is amazing. We BDd yesterday and today  this haven't happened for quite a while and i'm having more sex on the holiday then on the all 11 months put together. Sad, but true
I hope we will continue with this tempo until Aug 2, that would be CD14 and I never O after CD14. On Aug 4th we are leaving Greece bo-hoo and we will spend few days in Macedonia at DH's aunt.
I agree with Lola, make pregnancy ticker so we can know how far along are you, I keep forgetting you'll see what it's like when you're my age LOL!
Lola - thanks for answer about the ballet, I needed opinion from the expert :agree:
So you think too I should sign her up for classical ballet? Those classes she is attending now are more for fun, they are warming up by chasing each other through the room - go figure!
I didn't know about brain connections between dancing and math/science but it totally makes sense! Your girls are truly blessed they were introduced to the dancing practically as babies. And yes, when I think about it , it is goal oriented activity. I remember one sentence ( but I forgot the author of course :sigh:) it goes something like:
There aren't many shortcuts to happiness, but dancing is surely one of them :)
Wow looks like all the action here happens in the night.....
Lola..hope u got an close to O attempt in already, either yesterday night or today. what a perfect O time when DD's are away and u guys have no worry abt their bedtime and timimg BD...u know.More natural and relaxing helps. FX its ur month.
Begonia , great to hear abt ur appt and that u had as u/s too....i sometimes think maybe we should also not find out whenevr it happens....but i don't have the will power to hold. last time DH wanted a girl and me a boy and i was depressed after the u/s......since there are only gorls on my side of the family.....today i feel bad abt it......i so thank god for DD....i love her so much.
Good to hear abt u too 3pnb...so start relaxing:)
and urs was the best llluv......so relieved to hear all is good.
GL to those POAS....
celebrating DD's mid year birthday tomorrow as she wanted a summer beach birth day party...lol
Wow you guys have been busy, I finally got my reading caught up.
Congrats to all the awesome u/s. You guys really do need a ticker....we all have to keep up with you guys. And neither of you plan on finding out at you 20wk appt?
We had a great time on our day trip and are back and in full swing. I rode several rides at the fair and hope if there is a little bean in there....that he hung on tight. I had a temp dip....maybe implanting? I normally only temp from about cd10-cd18, just enough time to get my O, temping can be a pain. But since I am still BF twice a day, I thought my O might be delayed. Anyway and I am 7dpo today. Our Anniversary is on Saturday (9dpo), I wanted to test, but I really think it will be too early. It would be a nice surprise though. If anything our Anniversary plans will keep my mind of POAS.
Oh and after starting weighs, I could barely walk around the fair without looking like a cowboy.
Hi Friends,
Between work, caring for my dd, and life, I can't keep up- but wanting to check in and say hello to new members and congrats on the new bfps! So exciting.
Me:
8/9 DPO- had a late O, but I think I O'd later in the evening, as opposed to morning. FF can't decide- right now I have it at the earlier date because I like my timing better, but since I was on vacay my post-o temps are wayyyy off.
I am feeling like bfp is never going to come. I am glad it didn't come earlier because of DH's job surprise which involves moving in the late winter, but now I want to avoid some dates... This is cycle 3 for me (we skipped one cycle because of Dh's fever).
Does anyone feel like swaying makes it harder to get pg? LOLA mentioned this I think. I have all of the right things- early O, ewcm at the right time (never had with dd), but sperm getting to egg and making a baby isn't happening!
Spicy, I do think that something in our bodies (well, SOME of us) gets a little off when swaying and then it can take a bit longer to get pg....but ya know, with swaying blue, you are doing everything to increase fertility, so that is kinda contradictory, I suppose. All I can say is that my doctor told me that she tells all patients to not freak out until 6 months. Sometimes your body is just not ready, for one reason or another. But don't give up if you really do want another baby, it will happen. There are many of us on here who can testify to that! Babydes tried for a long time, and I have many other friends who did also. When are you going to test?
Layla, I'm sorry you got a bfn, but I agree that 10dpo can be early.....you know MANY do not see one until 14dpo or more even. Every lady and every pregnancy is different! FX for you, of course!
WP, love the walking like cowboy comment, LOL! Glad you had a fun time at the Fair. How did your kids like it? Mine love the big state one here in September, but are always scared of the "carnies" (aka fair workers). You know those people live life a little rough.
KSN, you should start using opks immediately to track your ovulation. Let us know if you need advice about that or are not sure how to do it. Lots of us are opk masters by now! Is this your first cycle? Zivic's advice is indeed good....you could just start bding every other day until you are sure you ovulated.
I'll tell you guys, I think the timing thing is just too stressful. And seriously, from FF charts to "surveys" of boy moms here with their timing, I REALLY think it doesn't matter if you dtd every day or once. I really don't. I think it only matters when your DH has low sperm count or so. But, you know, our DHs (at least most of them) are taking supps and I am sure mine for one has super sperm by now! I've been stuffing him with vitamins for a year now, and a really strict schedule for the last 3 months. I truly believe it is more your body that makes the difference. I mean, think of all the ladies who have boys who weren't swaying and just took opks and bd'ed away. MILLIONS of them.
So, we ended up dtd last night. I practically tore DH apart, so I kinda took that as a sign that my body wanted some, er..., sperm in it. And now my temp is back up, although not above my coverline. I think I either O'ed in the middle of the night or will today. I just have no idea with this Clomid in me. I'd hate to assume it is the same as usual and I will O the day after my +opk. Anyway, we are going to dtd again tonight with all the bells and whistles again. We did preseed and I did cave and do a bsf an hour before, just for old time IG sake (LOL).
About the ballet, I think ANY dance class is just great....when they are ages 2-6 or so, it is all just learning and fun anyway. If your daughter shows promise or really loves it, go for the advanced classes, that are more strict classical ballet. I just love seeing kids in any sort of dance class. But I am a big believer in not pushing your kids into activities just because you like it......I tell my girls that they can do whatever they'd like, and if they ever want to quit ballet, it's fine. I don't want to make them quitters, but I think that if they truly don't want to do it, there is a good reason. But, for now, they are all about it, especially with DH being one of our main dancers and me being the admin director. They just love being backstage at our theater and being a part of the "life" with us. Everyone knows them, so they are very comfortable with roaming around a huge performing arts theater....and I think it's a unique thing for them to experience as kids. And Tink, love that your DD is a gymnastics pro! That is awesome! You know she is going to be very althletic and physically coordinated, which is a great thing.
And I ramble away....obviously I could talk about ballet all day! Hope everyone is doing well!!!!!
Tink- no new in-law stories, luckily we only see them about once a month. Love the ex encounter! Everyone deserves a moment like that!
Daisy- thanks for the names compliment! We actually thought we were picking nice classic names but now they're everywhere lol
Iluv- so glad everything's ok! Fx for a heartbeat at 6wks!
B- glad your appt went well but sorry it left you rattled.
Zb- not sure I want one, I'm kinda on b's side on this. Not really sure I want to know.
Layla- I agree don't give up at 10dpo!
Lola- so glad you're in the 2ww! Fx very tightly crossed for you!
Well I woke up this morning quite a bit poochier then yesterday, me thinks the belly explosion is on it's way lol I'm actually feeling pretty good today, like I'll actually end up with a baby. Hoping this holds out but being 6 days from my m/c I'm sure the anxiety will spike again. Big hugs to you all and all the positivity and support you provide:hugs:
Hi ladies! I'm popping in to say hello :) Am joining a gym today, feeling very down in the dumps with my huge weight gain :(
Light huni, where you've been, I missed you! :) I see you are holding til January 2012? I decided for me it's now or never lol!
I think I'm in the situation I'll regret it either way (having another baby or not and all 'what if's') - I'll regret it if I don't try and if I DO try, so I decided it's better to regret something I've done then something I didn't. Hmmm can you tell I'm a mess? :sigh:
About sperm count: Atomic wrote somewhere that probably waste number of boys were conceived with some sort of cut-off which leads us to the same conclusion - time is not THAT important.
So glad to have you here again! :)
LOL, ZB, this was me! And I was laying with DD2 today, getting her down for a nap and watching that peaceful 2 year old face, and thinking that even though 75% of her waking hours have me running around ragged ... I'm SO glad we're having one more. You won't regret it. Love that DH has got some good lovin' for you this trip! I know that hasn't always been the case so I'm happy the vacay is doing him some good as well!
KSN I did forget Onelastchance. No idea what she is having/had, you know?
Tink how fun to have a little prodigy :running: We need a tumbling smiley! Maybe there is one. I'm too lazy to look. Took my girls to the pool this morning before it got to be over 100 and now we're all tuckered out.
Sometimes I write things like "tuckered out" and wonder if I've been hanging around too many old people.
Lola! WHOO HOO! So you're almost back into the good ol' 2WW! You know, I ended up doing a BSF too. The pH thing isn't my game really but I was like, WTH, can't hurt! Hope tonight is fun too! ITA about not pushing your kids. I REALLY want DD1 to play soccer but she has no interest, so she isn't playing. And I really want DD2 to dance ... we're going to test out a class this fall. I *think* she will love it but really you just never know with kids!
Cemas what a fun 1/2 birthday celebration! Hope you have a lovely time!
WP, LOL about the cowboy comment! I put a cowboy ticker (we'll see if it shows up in this post!) just for kicks. Glad you had a fun fair day! FX you get a nice anniversary BFP but at 9 dpo, it's early ... either way hope it is a lovely day. Do you have big plans? How many years?
Hang in there Layla, 10 DPO isn't over yet! FX!
Hi 5!!!! Miss you lady!!! Working out will make you feel better FOR SURE. Get on that. Endorphins are for real. I've only gotten in one workout this week and I'm quite sure it has contributed to my being more bummy than usual... that and hormones, but really, when I don't get in some good activity I'm much grumpier!
Spicy FX this month is it for you!
