Pinkin ~ good luck for Monday, hopefully your ob will take a peek for you. I will be stalking x
Well im not having a great day today, the vet specialist phoned today with the results about Niamh and they have confirmed she has canine lupus and she has the more severe/very rare lupus which attacks her internal organs. It is already attacking her own nose and vet says she has anemia and the lupus is already in her bone marrow :(
We have an appt on 22nd straight after our gender scan to see where we go next, it can be treated but cant be cured.
I dont know how much bad news i can cope with in one day :( so hope i hear girl at scan x
Happylea--I amso sorry about your dog. That is such sad news. I hope the treatments help her. Is your scan today?
TTC5, I love how you told your kids!! :)
TTC5, congrats soooo much on your boy!! We all KNEW he was in there, hahahaha! Enjoy it, your daughters are going to LOVE HAVING A BROTHER!! whoo hooo!
Hobbers, I still can't wait for the moment when you hold your baby :DS: in your arms! It's going to be so magical, when you meet your babe, and he's a blue one!
Bumblebee, I am still overjoyed that you get to end your family with a :DS: Boys are such huge blessings, and I truly believe it's great for the kids to have a mix gender sibling, if possible!
Pinkin, I hope you hear girl on Monday, but it's still super early, so the OB may not tell you anything. FX tho!
HappyLea, sorry about your dog :( When is the scan taking place?
I hate admitting this, but since i found out DD is on her way, I have really, really come to bond deeper with DS2. He was my GD baby, and although I loved him and took care of him well, I always held back a little bit, and now he's one years old, and getting so funny and so cute, I am totally, oozing in love with him! He has some hair growing on the very top of his hair and it's sticking up, looks so silly. Plus, he's getting a lot more fun to play with!
DS1 and I have always been tight, but I am appreicating him in new ways too. I am just so excited to be giving these boys a sister!! It is amazing.
I got my screening results back, and they were okay I guess--the risk for downs is 1:200, which is .5% chance. It is better than what they said at the 12 wk scan, which was 1:120. Has anyone had a risk like this? I am still kind of worried. They said the cut-off for "normal" is 1:270, so 1:200 isn't terrible, right? :nails: now I am kind of worried, even though the risk did go down from the first set of tests.
