Hello All- so I did my 1hr glucose test this week and I didn't pass. Boo. I am so upset. They said my number needed to be 135 or less and I was at 140 so I am not really concerned that I actually have gestational diabetes, but now I have to go back and do the 3 hour test. I know it is best to know for sure and just be safe, but I am not looking forward to sitting in the lab for 3 1/2 hours. Ugh. I also failed my iron test so now they are putting me on a prescription supplement.
14 weeks...just 14 more weeks I keep telling myself. I scheduled a free private ultrasound at another ultrasound tech school near me for Sunday so hopefully seeing baby girl will help me feel good.
Overall I am doing great physically. I have lots of energy and I have discovered the hands down best thing about pregnancy.......maternity jeans. I LOVE THEM. Why do we even make regular jeans with buttons? I want to wear these forever. I spent $40 (37 euros) and bought a bag of used maternity clothes from someone online and I got 8 pants and 14 shirts so I think I am set for the rest of pregnancy and very happy I didn't spend much. I haven't worn any of the shirts yet because I still fit nicely in my regular tops.
My mom is bugging me to start making decisions on what I want for my baby shower, but I am just not ready yet although I think we set the date for when I am about 33-34 weeks. Have also scheduled all my hospital tour, breast feed, birthing and childhood classes so we are on our way to getting things in order. It definitely feels like second trimester is dragging on and on and on and this is taking forever, but I am sure once she is here I will look back and think it went fast (don't think that now though).
Hope everyone is doing good. Anyone else finding out gender soon?
How many weeks are you GirlieCat? I failed one of mine years ago by a hair and had to sit the longer one which was a pain in the bum, but passed. Mines on Monday, yay :/ so boring! My 3D scan is booked for Tuesday. So excited! :D

Sorry you didn't pass the test, I have mine next week and am hoping for a pass.
Hope you get the 3 hour one done and dusted, and don't have to fret about it anymore.
Awesome news on the maternity clothes - way to grab a bargain !
We're really excited for this lil man to arrive, newborn photos are booked, going to tell my family tomorrow by phone.
I don't want to but my Mum has given me until Monday to do it or she will. Not thrilled about people knowing my business, I am such a private person.
We've not decided when to tell friends....although our 3 friends in California now know, and we are planning a trip to see them with the mini man :)
We need to get a passport expedited, as my husband is working abroad when baby is 8 weeks old, and wants us to go with.
Not looking forward to spending a day with a newborn at the passport office (Think DMV lines hahahha).

Has anyone heard from or touched base with bre lately? Was thinking about her.
3D ultrasound in 40 mins! So excited!! :D Hopefully hubby can make this one as he's missed out on all the other kids US from having to work or mind the kids..
Baby was being very modest and wouldn't open the legs lol. I was really hoping I could get a good shot to prove to hubby. Ahh well I guess he'll have to wait 12 weeks to see for himself lol. The tech said she didn't see any dangly bits haha! We got some good shots of bubs face and feet though, but despite me eating cookies and a cold drink beforehand, was sound asleep with face smooshed against my uterus the whole scan lol.

Agree with Sparkles- would love to see a pic Mummyof4boys. I have my 3D is about 3-4 week and I wonder how clear those pics show facial features.
Throwaway- I think of Bre all the time but I haven't seen her post anything in a long time. Last post was about the baby might have trisomy and we never hear anything since. We have had a lot of people drop off and not be heard from again in this due date group. :-(
