atomic seems to think it's safe to conceive on your first O, and from my random Google searches the consensus seems to be that doctors' insistence you wait is for dating reasons and also to make sure the Mom is emotionally ready. My midwife wants me to wait TWO full periods, which I can tell you now I'm not going to do (I'm waaaay to impatient for that). What I want to know particularly, is whether there's a difference with the safety of conceiving quickly after an early m/c versus a late one like mine. Let me know what you find out, DM.

I think for ME (and every woman's different, obviously), getting pregnant again fast is going to help me with my recovery process. It may sound weird but I'll feel that my angel baby will still be part of the pregnancy somehow if it happens soon. I also feel that maybe this post-miscarriage girl sway is a gift my angel baby is giving me. Weird, I know.

My spotting has stopped completely :fingers:! But I am still very cautious! I am following Dr. orders.....for moderate bed rest. Basicly if I start spotting again I am to just go lay down! No heavy lifting etc. but I have a wonderful hubby who is doing it all since he is home and not working! I am able to do little things like go to the store or post office...just not run a marathon!
Last night I felt so calm and at peace with what ever happens from here on out. And I am strongly thinking that we will hear boy at the Nov. 26th u/s....and I am actually ok with it!

I personally feel the same way- If your body is ready, it ovulates. If it isn't, it won't ovulate. I would like to know if the lining of the uterus needs more time to be ready, but I'm thinking that once everything has been shed, and your horomones are back to normal, your body will do what it needs to do in order to create the right lining etc. If it's simply for dating purposes, I find that silly. If you feel emotionally ready and that you are supposed to try right away- listen to your body:) it knows best:) I'm waiting to hear back from some midwife aquaintences(30+ years experience:)) and will let you know what they say. xoxo

Princess--happy that you and baby are fine. It's awesome that DH is helping out so you can rest. It's not easy to rest when you have other kids to care for.
Mocha--still thinking of you, I totally get that you wanna try again. that's how I was and getting pregnant helped me heal emotionally from the M/C. It was the first m/c I ever had so it was super scary for me and the change in hormones, etc. really brought be down.
Z--saw your scan....it just might be your girl cause I feel that at 12+weeks boy nubs are seriously obvious...I didn't even the scrotal bump like on other boy nubs at that time. Fingers crossed for you but either way, that's one cute lil bean you got there!!!

Mocha- Just heard from an experienced childbirth educator in my area- she says that other than needing time to grieve, or feeling the need to wait for dating purposes or a medical issue that needs correcting...there is no need to wait. She in fact feels that the ovulation directly after a miscarriage is usually strong and results in a healthier egg. Not sure if this from anecdotal evidence...She recommends drinking Red Raspberry tea to get your cycle and uterus back to tip top shape. 1-2 cups a day. I'll let you know what else I hear:)

Excellent! I'm already taking Vitex to help my cycle get back to normal, but maybe I'll add the tea as well. Let me know what else you hear.

just logging in after months being gone, mocha I am so sorry for your loss :( , I tried to conceive right after each of my losses but I never did, didnt know if I was ovulating or not but I did conceive the next month and I grieved my losses but I wanted to be pregnant again so bad again and I was so relieved and happy once I conceived again so I completely understand wanting to become pregnant asap again, emotionally it did help me *big hugs*

:agree:...Yep...Zan, I would never B.S. you on this just to make you feel better...Honestly, what I saw was completely inconclusive. I'm just going w/my gut on this one b/c:

1.) Your pics give us nothing conclusive which as frustrating as it is, is a good thing!
2.) The fact that you saw no "boy" parts as usually it's easier to tell w/a boy at this time IMO...Pics you posted didn't show "boy" parts either.
3.) Your sway was perfect in my book...couldn't have been better!
4.) I just feel like it's a girl for you!
