I'm getting my pap done next appt too...like how did I end up pregnant at the same time I need one?! It's cruel and unusual punishment.

Just an FYI for those getting a pap, I bled and she said that's normal when you're pregnant. I forgot she warned me and hand a momentary freak out when I saw blood later on.

Well thankfully the pap is next month!
They have me all the paperwork for the Panorama test. I keep thinking and talking like this is another boy and have felt fine with it but now I'm nervous as crap. I think I'll go in for the blood work tomorrow then 10 day wait.

Just swimming all around and waving it's tiny arms. So sweet.
Just stalking you guys. Love to follow Your journeys!
Lovely picture kmom!
Two i love the idea of Your two kids sharing a bed. You sound like a very confident mom! You know and feel what they need! Good for you that you won't let a docter who doesn't know it all! Make you feel inadequate!
I have the tendency to doubt myself. While i do know my kids and feel whats right.
Bella you are such a sweet mom! I'm weaning my almost 14 month old daughter too. She doesn't like it. But she drinks and eat much better during the day know and she sleeps through almost every night now!
She's breastfed the longest. And a wake at night also the longest! Lol.
And although i loved it and am gonna miss it. I'm done too!
Hope you get a good night sleep!
Kmom what a sweet picture!!!! It's too late to Ramzi isn't it??

The twins are already fighting with each other. On my scan Dalton had his head by Ophelia's feet and was sleeping. She kicked him in the head and he started flailing everywhere, so she kicked at him more. He flipped over to get away from her. LOL
I'm sure your doctors know best, but... my midwife would never do a pap on a pregnant woman when I used to see her. She said there is a risk of miscarriage. :/ No idea if it's true or not, but she said to leave the cervix alone. Again—I'm not doctor so take that for what it's worth. But I rejected a pap when my midwife this time around suggested it. Too nervous. It can wait a few months.
Bella—I so feel you! My youngest is 3 1/2 but he's autistic (so developmentally more like 1 1/2)and still sleeps with me. Though, I use the word "sleeps" very loosely. He's a super light sleeper and wakes up several times a night. Sometimes he's up for—I kid you not—3-4 hours at a time. Kills me. My midwife keeps telling me to get rest. Ha! Trust me, I would if I could. We're going to have to move him out of my room before baby comes for sure, but I know it's going to be a rough transition. At the moment, I do put a lot of blankets between us to avoid being kicked or flailing arms, and usually a hand on his arm helps him go back to sleep okay. In fact, if he snuggles, he gets too lovely and actually wakes himself up.
This is just too cute.
I bled for three days with my pap. I majorly regretted getting it so delay it if you can.

No pap over here either. The midwives in my area won't even consider it if you're pregnant. They don't even do cervical checks until labor unless you request them. Any possible bacteria getting through just isn't worth the risk.

Same here, my Gp would never do a Pap smear on a pregnant mum unless there was a problem indicating a high risk. Boo to that!
Well last night was officially hell. Ds was awake from 3:20-4:45 am. I started to really resent him last night. So frustrating. My others I have done the same with, my middle child asked to sleep in her sisters bed and we never heard a peep out of her. She still woke but I breast fed her and she would go back to sleep. This little fella is getting cross about not being allowed to touch my boobs and it is really driving me nuts. Temper tantrums in the middle of the night aren't great :(. I'm putting him down for a sleep right now and then heading back to sleep myself.
Thanks for all of the support ladies. It's. Or easy being a mum, but I'd rather do it than anything else.

My Harmony Results are in and available for me to view on my healthcare system's online patient portal BUT I can't see them, it says it could take 24 hours for them to load (as of 3:03pm). This is TORTURE!!! Argh!!!! I'm going to assume that if there was something wrong or not normal my midwife would have called me?? I have literally been losing sleep over this test worried that something could be wrong. I'm down 5lbs. and can fit in my regular clothes (they're a tad bit snug but not too bad until evening comes when I get more bloated). You cannot tell I'm pregnant at all and I was incredibly sick all Saturday morning, no clue why. This has just been the weirdest pregnancy for me and I was hoping for some reassurance from the Harmony test that all was well. I slept like crap last night worried over the results and the gender. Sigh, sorry to complain I just cannot believe that I have waited 3.5 weeks and now it's available but I can't view it and my midwife didn't call me with the results. I hope I can sleep tonight, I'm so exhausted. :(
I think it tends to run more in girls when you've had previous pregnancies where the placenta was posterior and you had the opposite gender. At least that's how it's seemed to be for a lot of the blogs I've read and friends I've talked to. I have 5 mom friends who had boys first all posterior placentas then went on to have girls with anterior placentas. I don't think its a sure thing at all nor should anyone count on it to be true. I'm certainly not counting on it to be true for me but I did find it interesting! ;)
Crd5ed how frustrating!! I hope you can access them soon!!!!!
Has anyone heard the new zika stuff that's been on the news? It's pretty scary stuff and making me a little nervous for this summer. I'm in the Midwest so I know they have a lot further to travel but still scary.

Thanks Quinn!! How are you doing? Has DH got the results and can you tell by his behavior what they were?
Aw, Bella29, what a rough time you're going through. I can relate. My boys didn't sleep through the night until they both night weaned at around 2.5yo. I nursed my youngest (he'll be 3 this month) for the last time 2 months ago bc I had dried out and he would latch on and say "No milk". So we talked about how he's getting so big that he doesn't necessarily need mommies milk anymore and he seemed to do ok with it but he is a little older than your guy. I've bed-shared with both kiddos, the youngest is still in a twin bed next to our king but since he weaned he's been waking up in the middle of the night asking to come into our bed. He's also getting up a lot earlier because he's hungry and there's no nursing to satiate him until we all get up for breakfast, it's made DH and I pretty tired for the past 2 months. But like you I am hoping to transition him slowly over the summer to his new bed in big brothers room. We shall see how it goes. I'm keeping our extra twin bed and frame so if he needs to use it in our room then we'll keep it there. I don't know if that would work for you but once he falls asleep I move him back to his twin bed so I can have the room I need again. These transitions are so tough on everyone. I'll be thinking of you and hoping you can get some much needed sleep tonight and in the future, hang in there momma!
Thanks for all of the info about paps. I really trust my midwife so I'm surprised to hear so many others won't do them..they're super low intervention and didn't want to check me when I bled randomly last time I was pregnant lol. I didn't want to do it though so now I feel better saying no.
Yeah from the investigation we have done, they think the issue might be the chemicals they have put into the water in those areas to kill the mosquitos that has caused the encephalopathy, rather than the virus which has been around for 70 years before all of this.

Crd, how insanely frustrating! I hope that you get the results soon.

The species of mosquito that carries it does not live in my area so I'm fine that way. However, I'm still waiting on the results of my Zika test from two months ago when I got back from Costa Rica. It was originally supposed to take two weeks to get back, but now the CDC is saying four months! So far everything looks good with their heads and brains. Everything is measuring proportionately to the rest of their body measurements. I'm not particularly worried anyway. There was a report out that when they studied past outbreaks of Zika around the world the instances of microcephaly ran at roughly 1% of those infected to as high as 4%, which is still quite low.
Some are blaming it on a larvicide, but it's been used for over a decade all over the world and there are not increased instances of microcephaly there. Plus, humans don't have the proteins and pathways that are targeted by it, so it wouldn't have an effect. At least per credible scientific articles.
So, I finally got a call from my midwife this morning with my Harmony results. She has no idea why I would get an email that they were available and then me not be able to see them in the web portal and was very kind and apologetic. The results are that I am the lowest possible risk for any abnormalities and...it's a GIRL. I'm so incredibly grateful that everything is ok with this little baby, of course I'm happy that we are expecting a girl also but the biggest weight on my shoulders was that the baby was healthy. So, so very blessed and I will continue to remember that even though I got sick again this morning. This is by far the weirdest pregnancy of all of them!!
Congrats crd! That's wonderful!

So, strange series of unexplainable stuff :/ This weekend I started having this gushing weird colored CM. Between that and cramps, I freaked out and went to the ER. They did a bunch of testing, all came back negative. Then I started having contractions that evening, and still having them. So I asked my OB about it today. He checked and no cervical changes. Wish my body wasn't being so confusing, but at least baby seems to be doing well.
Also, I know I asked this before but I can't remember the answer and several more ppl have gotten results since. I was told 10-14 days for harmony results. I am REALLY REALLY hoping for 10 days. I am on edge worrying about the results, and curious to finally know gender too of course. How many days was it between blood draw and call with the results for those of you who have had it??
Yay for a girl!
I had a 2-hour fetal echocardiogram this morning since DS3 was born with three different heart defects Everything looked good and the cardiologist said worst case scenario was that they had the one defect that couldn't rule out but that it was functionally normal (as DS3's is) or most likely that they don't have it at all. Yay! Twin B still has her echogenic focus, but they said it is of no concern for anything and they don't even worry about them, that with more advanced technology they have found they are quite common. I'm feeling very relieved. I spent the last few weeks stressing about this testing.
Yay! Glad for good news.

How scary Two!! I would have freaked out too!! So glad everything is ok and that baby seems to be doing well. The waiting period to find out what my risk was made me a little crazy, I was so worried, I can't even tell you why because I have no history of issues but I just always keep in the back of my head that not every pregnancy ends happily. I know that may be dark but it helps me realize and appreciate what I do have, not take it for granted and be compassionate of everyone's journey. I hope they get those results back to you asap so you're no longer waiting too. :)
Those are super bizarre symptoms and so scary- glad everything is ok. I had my first braxton hick 2 days ago and thought that was strange too. 14 weeks seems early to be practicing but so far just the one and nurse says it's fine..maybe you're just an earlier practicer too:-)
If so my uterus has become a perfectionist, lol. For some reason, night seems to be worse than during the day but they range from uncomfortable to as bad as my worst menstrual cramps.
