Lola we dont get offered the mat 21 over here or I would:agree: especially as I'm an older mum now at 36 lol :)
I had my 1st bout of vomiting last night, from nowhere I had to run to the bathroom and hurl! I had just eaten a pear so mabe baby doesnt like pears??!! I havent actually been sick in a pregnancy for a looooong time, can't even remember who with :$
I slightly slipped into conversation with DH while he was distracted about getting an early private scan, which he mumbled agreement to lol, so I might just sneakily do it! I've had bleeding on and off since the beginning so it will be a reassurance to see a heart beat:agree:

I'm back and I did sneak up for a scan lol! One baby, one strong heartbeat, I don't know which side baby was on the pic looks on the right but I dont know what angle it was taken off of so not sure about Ramzi's possibly girl? she also found a dark aarea which is probably where the bleed is coming from so that was worth paying for in itself:

So glad you got to see the baby how exciting!! I talked to my OBs office yesterday and It looks like I wont have my first scan until 12-13 weeks which I guess is good so I can try and get a nub shot. With my boys pregnancies I always had my first one at 9 weeks.

having a scan on monday. I will be 10 weeks plus a few days. I sit too late too guess the ramzi in that week?

What exactlly is Ramzis theory?

There's a link in the section on studies for gender swaying. Basically if placenta implants on the left baby is more than likely a girl and if it implants on the right it should be a boy. It's very hard to tell from scan pictures though so you really need to ask during the ultrasound.
I think it's only accurate between weeks 6-8 though.
-
I've always read that it's only accurate between 6-8 weeks, but never understood why. Won't the placenta always be in the same place??

I think that while the location it attaches doesn't change, it's hard to tell where it is attached on later ultrasounds due to the expanding uterus. I guess if you think of the uterus like a balloon and mark an x on it. The location of the x doesn't change as the balloon gets bigger, but it appears to change when looking at it. I dunno, maybe that isn't it, but it sounds reasonable..
I asked the US tech during mine, but she said it isn't really right or left, it could be top/bottom/front/back. She said too, that depending on how they hold the wand, twisting it, etc, would be hard to tell for Ramzis. She wasn't very helpful though. If you have a more cooperative tech, they may be able to help out more.

I'm still around, great to see y'all are doing good :)
I only have nausea now if I get hungry. My first US is booked for 12 weeks, too early for a nub shot? I have never gotten a nub shot in previous pregnancies so chances of getting one were slim regardless.
Into stretchy clothes already, can feel my uterus in the mornings now too :)

I'm 10 weeks today! Holy cow, I feel like I've known for soooooo long. I bought some maternity tops recently. They're a little big still, but I've given up on my old clothes. DH and I also went and bought a travel system! It was very exciting for me because I never had one with any of the boys. :giggle:
