That is a nice option! i wish we had it that way. I do have the option to purchase more PTO so that is always an option to!
I wish I had a job where I could work from home lol

Maybe that is why I only have boys....I hit the lottery with my job! It seriously has been the best deal ever and I have so much freedom and flexibility, yet I get paid great and have so much experience that I could take to another company. It does get VERY stressful when I am juggling work and the kids and when things get crazy. But, it is so worth it! I don't think I could ever go back to working in an office again!
nc, may I ask what you do for a living?
I'm a librarian at a small career college with great/flexible hours, but yeah, I think it would be so awesome to work from home :) I'd love to get my book published and make enough just to be able to stay home and write. That would be my DREAM job! However, I'm also thinking about trying to get my ph.D in library science and eventually teaching it for an online library science program. That would be awesome too--I'd make great pay being a professor and be able to stay at home...sometimes I think the hardest part of my job is getting out of my pjs and leaving the house, rofl. I wish I could just do my job from home.
I head up a group of proposal managers (everyone is home-based) for a clinical research organization (CRO) in the Phase IV industry. Basically all the pharma/biotech companies will seek out bids to run studies to test their drug in a new indication, find new ways to use their drug, run marketing studies, review retrospective patient charts to get specific data for the FDA, etc. We stay very busy and lead the entire proposal process from leading strategy calls, putting together the proposal text and budget, and then finalizing for the client. This year alone our team has already sent out 650 proposals...between 10 ppl and won over $100M in new business. Lots of pressure and stress...prob. why I have boys too!
Auroara, I have an MLIS, too, but haven't worked in a library in a few years. It would be great to find a PhD program!
Tiff, welcome!
I am currently working out of the house, even though i have 7 kids, and I love it! I am in Canada, so we get a year of paid Mat leave as well. Once my year is up I do want to go back to work, I love being around adults :) But my DH is now saying that he does not want em going to back to work, he believes that I shoudl be at home with the kids. Money is not really a facotr, becuase i don't have to work, but I really love too!
Has anyone else had this dilemma?
