I have a boy and a girl who are exactly two years apart (there is only one day between their birthdays), and they occasionally fight like this, so it's not just boys. It was actually better when mine were younger. Now, they irritate each other all day. I keep hoping that they'll grow out of this stage!
Hi Nes! Good to see you are on here? Did you have your gender scan yet? I hope IG is back up soon, I miss everyone! I am doing good. Baby looks great according to u/s results (just talked to my Dr. about them) and I am already planning my shower even though it's 2 months away lol. I am super excited to have a pink shower as you can imagine. Other than that just trying to get through this pregnancy without complaining too much. I am over half way there now, I need to just shut up and enjoy it lol! Hope everyone doesn't mind me joining the thread. I am due March 17th with a girl after 3 boys!
Hey nes! I'm from ig as well using same name I think we were in the due date group together there
I was half joking to a friend of mine once who has all girls that it must be much more peaceful in her house, after she heard me separating my older two boys for fighting too much. She said don't let gender fool you, they fight pretty much the same way a lot too. So it can happen..
No stranger to those comments either, it is annoying to have people assume that clearly you got the wrong gender and you must be desperate for the opposite. :/
With our oldest girls the fighting is more verbal, saying something mean then excluding the other one, occasionally there will be a pinch or a slap and then the tears, then they will not play together for a few hours, lots of dobbing on eachother for saying mean things.
Hi Rosie- after DS1 was born I had major issues with my tail bone, it hurt so bad whenever I changed positions, trying to stand up or sit down. Apparently it was due to laying on my back during delivery. After a couple of months it gradually got better. When DS2 was born, the midwife was very helpful. I started out on my hands and knees, and then switched to laying on my side. It turned out to be great and I had no tailbone pain after the delivery whatsoever. Perhaps you should look into different delivery positions to help with your situation. Good luck!
Kat - I haven't had a gender scan as such. They told me 80% girl at the NT scan at 13 + 1 weeks. My next diagnostic scan is at 19 weeks (I'm 16 weeks tomorrow) and that's when they usually will confirm gender. I was thinking about getting a private scan done this week as it is pretty cheap ($65) because I don't know if I can wait another 3 weeks. i should really believe the sonographer from the 13 week scan but it is hard to believe I guess. They were right with my DS2 and my OB said that that place are usually right. Cross fingers!
That's great to hear about your u/s - that's ultimately what we want to hear - healthy baby. I'd love to have a pink shower but think no one would be into it especially DH. I'm feeling a lot better this week than I have in the past. Thank goodness!
Hi nkg!
I have 17 months between my two boys and although they do fight they have also started playing really well together too so it does get better!
Hope everyone in the US is ok, there are a few people who have been quiet lately so hoping that is just because you're too busy and not because of the storm.
Suregena - I had the same 'problem' a week or so ago, anything I ate caused me to rush to the loo. Thankfully I seem to be over it now so fingers crossed yours passes quickly too. xx
