Hobb I have had Migraines before and yes I would say my eyes felt like the start of one yesterday, I dont usually get much of a headache with one either usually I get numbness in my arm and face and the visual part. To top it all off I am so so itchy today, I did eat kfc yesterday tho so its y own fault.
I am also starting to worry and stress about labor as I do suffer anxiety over it and because its getting closer. My plan is to have an epidural straight away this time and the midwife I asked abouyt them the other day said they dont always work and sometimes dont work very well so that has put me back to square one with my anxiety over labor. My ob said to me going back not to worry about the labor because she will give me an epidural and I wont feel a thing and now the midwife says that it prob doesnt help my BP!
EVeryone I know has gotten relief from the epidural. The only trouble I have had with any of mine (I have gotten one all 3 times and will do it this time as well) is the epidural wore off a little towards the end, while I was pushing, but it wasn't a big deal--I could just feel more than I wanted, but wasn't in horrible pain or anything. I was still able to talk and joke around with the doctor and my DH. I just like it when I feel NOTHING, and the dr has to tell me when to push!
Pinkin, I think the fact that you are going to have an epidural straight away means there will be plenty of time for them to adjust it if necessary so that you have really good pain relief. I can understand some women finding it didn't do a great job for them if they had it later on, when there is no time to play around and get it finely tuned. And if you are not in pain, that will definitely help with your anxiety and your BP.
Mocha, sounds like it could have definitely been a hind water leak. GL!
Mocha! Waiting for an update! Hope you are having Sadie right now!:)
Thanks girls for the info on the epidural. I dont think id mind if I could feel a bit but I have not got my mind set now for the full on labour pain.
My d/h was on a 3 day drinking bender too this weekend because he played footy grand final so I didnt get much sleep all weekend and none of that helps does it. Men have it so good I tell ya! Now footy season has finished he jumps right into cricket season!! Should of been born a man!!!
Yeah, isn't it "nice" how they can just check out, and not worry or care about any family stuff at all? My DH is like that too. He makes plans, goes where he wants and rarely bothers to okay it with me first. I never do anything, but if I do, I plan ahead and make sure he is going to be home to watch the kids. :sigh:
I hope you do your second boy Hobbermittens. How cool would that be? Two girls and two boys! :envy:
Yeah hobb mine is a real mans man .. He is good to me but he most def puts his sport first. And with all the sport comes the drinking which I dont mind it if its not all the time but when I am starting to get on now in pregnancy and I am not having a good one I think its very selfish of him. My MIL had to watch our d/s for 5 hrs yest because I went to just a ctg appointment but couldnt come home because of the blood pressure thing and where was d/h?? At the bloody pub of corse! Mad monday they call it! after drinking sat and sunday aswell!
Does anyone have any good come-back comments when people say things along the lines of 'gee, you're getting big'?!
I am still feeling great, the baby is a normal size, and I don't even think I'm that big (yet). One lady just about fell over when I said it was my third. WTF?! Next time I've decided to say it's my 7th, just to see what the reaction is!
