Thanks doulamama, I was terrified, especially when my waters broke with meconium in it!! She came out very blue but soon cried out. Good job she came out quickly. We are all well. Life is a bit chaotic, but we are all happy with our little girl.

I'm so sorry you were terrified:( The thing with fast births is that usually there are zero problems with the birth. And as long as the mec isn't thick and it's just staining of the waters, it's no biggie. Most midwives feel that suctioning isn't needed with light mec. I've had 2 out of 3 born blue too. They pink up pretty fast as long as the cord is left alone as it should be:) Be proud of yourself, Mama! You birthed your baby exactly like you were meant to! Oh and hubby "caught" your baby;) Babies are birthed...pizzas are delivered;) LOL That's the midwife in me speaking....hahaha!
