Do keep in mind though that twin pregnancies are much more likely to be associated with severe nausea AND health problems, and also that the pregnancies where the ladies did eventually end up on Zofran may have started off with malnutrition because the mother may not hav ebeen able to keep food down. May be a coincidence, altho of course always better to avoid medication unless neededQuote:

keepthefaith - I'm 17 weeks and still on unisom + B6 every night. I've tried to get off of it 3x and every time I fail to take it the night before, I spend the entire next day vomiting and can't get off the couch. I work part time and stay at home in the afternoons with a very active DS so I can't afford to be miserably ill and chase after a 2 year old. I hope your nausea clears up soon . With DS I was sick daily until 14/15 weeks, but I know it's over for most people by 12 weeks.
With all my pregnancies sickness kicked in at 6 weeks! With the twins it continued til 22 weeks and I hardly put weight on at all. With my subsequent pregnancies I've had til 17 weeks and had to eat constantly. With DS3 I think I went to Mcdonalds every day for 3 months! : ( You just have to do what you need to do to get through the day. I actually saw the GP today (11weeks) to get some antiemetics as my sickness gets worse as the day goes on and having to prepare food for the children...euch...I ended up vomiting in the kitchen sink yesterday! No good!

I only had ms with dd. It started around 5 weeks all the way thru 13 weeks. The only thing that helped me was pepper mint candy. Going thru bags like it was crack! I felt really bad for consuming so much sugar the first trimester, but it was better than hanging out with Mr. Toilet 24/7.

Oh I have been putting off thinking about this but as we are now trying again for a girl I will have to go through it again. With my first I had sickness from week three to the end. Hyperemisis is awful ended up in hospital twice. Second child was really bad but managed to get through it with medicine. I'm now trying for a girl.
Things that helped. Having a tiny sugar hit before you even sit up in the morning, like a boiled sweet or biscuit. Having small snacks. Don't let your tummy get empty, it sounds weird being sick then eating straight after but you have to. If your stomach gets too empty it's hard to even keep water down. If you get really bad I felt so much better after a few days in hospital on meds and a drip. I was on cycilzine and metaclopramide, they helped a tiny bit.
It is all worth it in the end but so awful at the time.
I took sick bags and mouth wash every where, I struggled to go in a car. I had to be signed off work. Oh really dreading going through it again. Most people find its passed by 14 weeks. I hope it does for you.
